Amazing food, great service. We will be back! We did the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. Both the ceaser salad and endive salad were delicious, but the ceaser might have been the best we've ever had. The Waygu and potatoes were tasty, but the King Salmon and Bok choy stole the show. Perfectly cooked and buttery, all around fantastic. The cranberry orange sorbet had a nice salty crunch on top.

We decided to add the apple crumble skillet on top of our already perfect meal, and this was the highlight of the night. The Gouda and the whipped sour cream had me drooling and still reminiscing about the meal the next day.

Great spot! Extremely well prepared food. World class wine list. And it’s a very hip spot too.

This place is cute and has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food and service! we tried the roasted chicken with pistachios, and honestly, it wasn't anything special. The mussels were also very average and finally, the pork was good but nothing excellent. I think it's overrated!! the prices are very high for the food they serve.

The only things we liked were the French fries, which were very good (the only redeeming feature of the food), and a mezcal drink.

The service was very slow, and our waitress was not nice, at times, I even thought she was annoyed. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

My wife and I had dinner at Beholder last night and went with the tasting menu, sitting at the chef’s counter. That experience alone was worth it—the energy in the kitchen, seeing the team work, and being able to interact directly with the chefs made the night memorable. They were engaging, open to conversation, and even let us try a few samples of items not included in the tasting menu, which was a great touch.

The wine pairing was enjoyable, though I would have loved to hear a bit more about each pour—where it came from and why it was chosen for that specific course. We’ve had a similar experience at Potong and appreciated that extra context. The service overall was good but not exceptional; our waiter was polite but could have been a little more attentive given the format and price point.

As for the food: the oysters were fine, but the tomato granita didn’t add much flavor and couldn’t compete with places like Commission Row or Geraldine’s. The salads were fresh and nicely plated, but not particularly memorable. The standout by far was the Wagyu coulette steak—cooked perfectly, rich, and full of flavor with every bite. It’s one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.

We both finished with the brown butter salted caramel praline ice cream, which was phenomenal—sweet, salty, and buttery in all the right ways.

Overall, Beholder delivers an excellent dining experience, especially if you sit at the chef’s counter and enjoy the craft of cooking up close. A few tweaks in service and a touch more flavor in the early courses would have made it a perfect five-star night.

We came here on a saturday evening for a nice dinner to celebrate a birthday and promotion at work.

Pros:
-Food was phenomenal. Lots of creativity and unique flavors present - if you're not adventurous with your food or prefer a more basic flavor profile, you may struggle with the menu here. *We loved the tasting menu, and appreciated them adjusting the price when they ran out of one of the steak options and had it replaced with a lower quality cut.
-Drinks were made well.
-The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations based on any questions or concerns we had.

Cons:
-It was advertised as fine dining, which the food was, but atmosphere was noisy and felt like it was trying to appeal to a younger party/bar crowd rather than a nice fine dining experience.
-Tables felt very closer together - we struggled to have enough room to sit on the bench without bumping the table next to us. Also, almost every table in the line was wobbling A LOT. We almost completely tipped the table over just by leaning on a corner a couple times.
-Service was a bit slow - we were there for about 3+ hours. (2, maybe 2.5 hrs is understandable, but 3+ feels like a bit much.) We waited for 5-10 minutes for a hostess to be present at the front for us to be seated as a line was forming behind us.

Overall:
Food and drinks were delicious, but the noisy atmosphere and slow service subtracted from the overall experience enough to where we would not feel drawn to come back. We both agreed there are better options for the price point to have the same caliber of food and more enjoyable atmosphere and quality of service.

Made comments supporting and celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I would never eat at a place that supports such evil. Been there once and food sucked anyways. 0/10 would not recommend.

Me and my wife ate here last week and idk if the owners know this but the place smells rancid. I could hardly finish my meal. I choked it down but I won’t be back. Great service staff though

Behold: an overpriced crappy restaurant. Spent over $300 on two tasting menus+drinks and the best tasting part of the meal was the ice cream at the end. We had been looking forward to trying Beholder and waited until our anniversary. Had a reservation and sat right down. My wife had fish that was overcooked and my flat iron steak was under cooked. Portion sizes were small too. Also the music kept cutting in and out. For the price we expected a lot more. Once is enough for us.

The ambiance and food was amazing, but some of the seating you are a foot from the person dining out next to you. That makes conversation a bit uncomfortable. To start, because everyone can hear you, and you can hear everyone.

Love this restaurant - we came in for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and the food and service were amazing. It is a nice balance between a special dining experience but without being overly stuffy or fancy. The dining room atmosphere is elevated but still relaxed. The bar/outdoor area also provide for a more casual space - we need to come back and sit at the bar on a weekday for one of their Wednesday/Thursday specials.

One of the best restaurant and cocktail bars in Indianapolis. Craft cocktails were a 10 out of 10, perfectly balanced with “oh wow” flavors and stunning presentation. Food and as equally as good. Oysters were amazing and the miso glazed hamachi colors were hard to eat but beyond amazing. The wagyu flank steak with mushroom was also incredible. The fried rice chicken wings were as delicious as it was fun to eat. Can’t wait to go back.
