Kan-Kan Cinema & Bar offers a pleasant and ideal movie-going experience for fans of independent, arthouse, and quality film. The theater is beautiful and cute, with a dim lit and inviting restaurant/bar area. The movie selection is amazing, often featuring older films and ones not found elsewhere. The seating in the theater is comfortable and general admission. The staff is spectacular; everyone who works there loves film, and employees are great at directing guests. The pizza from King Dough is wonderful and speedy, available by the slice or a whole pizza, though it cannot be taken into the theater. Drinks from the bar and popcorn are allowed inside, and the popcorn is delicious. Concession prices are all very reasonable, though there is no bottled or canned water available to take in. The bar has solid selections, particularly with beer. Parking is available in a small lot and all around. This gem adds so much to the Indianapolis arts scene and is the perfect place for a date, friend trip, or solo adventure.
