“The sushi was incredible! The pieces were smaller, which was a good thing as they were more approachable. I give credit to the size to them not having too much rice, like most places. They had just enough rice to surround them and keep them together. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. I blame the management more than the server, to be honest. There was only one server and one bartender. So it was a little frustrating to have everything take so long from start to finish. Over all, if you want good sushi with a very posh atmosphere, go here... you may just have to wait a while.“
“I drive here from an hour away because it’s absolutely worth it! The atmosphere and service are both great, and the food is phenomenal. Every roll I’ve tried is delicious, I feel like you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. The crispy Brussels sprouts app is a must. Their cocktails are also beautiful and tasty.“
“I came here with my family for dinner for a little birthday celebration and it was such a great experience! Firstly, the food was delicious (I got the steak hibachi) and the food came out pretty quick. Secondly, the waiter saw that it was my birthday and he put up a happy birthday screen on the tv. He also brought out a complimentary tempura cheesecake which was a nice surprise and such a kind thing to do! I wasn’t expecting that and they made me feel special. Thank you for that!We will definitely be coming back to dine in and try takeout.“
“We go there all the time. We live right across the street and we don't go there because it's not good it's great. We've beena lot of other sushi places, Including It's birthplace this place is just as good If not better and much more reasonable! The owner and his staff are top notch.“
“Beautiful place! Me and my husband shared the gyoza aka 6pc pork dumplings. Then we shared shrimp tempura roll, california roll, and angies roll. Angies roll was GREAT! All in all the food across the board was excellent. I had Friday special $3.95 Bahama mama. Great service all around from several people. We will be back.“
“Best sushi in the area by far. I am a vegetarian and they make fantastic veggie sushi rolls with a lot of variety, I recommend the garden roll with cream cheese added. Most sushi places don't have as many veggie options! My boyfriend eats meat and he loves the kani tempura roll and the dynamite roll. They also have great sides that we both really enjoy. We typically get take out, but the restaurant itself is also quite nice and the staff are always very friendly. It's a bit small so you may have to wait a short time for seating if they are busy!“
“One of the best Japanese restaurants in Indianapolis in terms of quality and price. They have a wide menu that includes sushi, ramen, udon, bento, donburi, etc.The interior decor is fun, and there is plenty of seating. We were able to be seated as a table of 2 without waiting around 7pm on a Friday night. The atmosphere is lively, but it still makes for a great date night. We each ordered an entree and shared a roll of sushi and two appetizers --more than enough! I highly recommend the takoyaki and squid appetizers. They are really filling and delicious. ⚠️ Be careful not to burn yourself biting into the takoyaki!I also got the tempura udon. The broth is so savory and well seasoned. The tempura also showed up hot and crisp.I can't wait to eat here again!“
“Ichiban is such a rare gem. I visited today for the first time in a few years and was reminded why I love it so much. The service is so friendly and the food is every bit as delicious as ever. The katsudon is a must for me. Don’t miss out on this place.“
“I'm always delighted to find a good restaurant near where I live and it delivers. Focus seems to be on the actual hibachi area, since it seems to be the busiest area. Expect to wait if you want to sit there. A lot of parties tend to be there.“
“Great sushi, and several unique rolls and sushi appetizers (I'm looking at you "dinosaur eggs"). Their quality of sushi and friendliness of servers and staff put them amongst the best sushi places in town, and the addition of some unique menu options helps them stand out even further.“
“Just had the most amazing meal at Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi Express....we tried a little of a lot of things like their crab rangoon, jalapeno bomb, playboy roll, fried red snapper, chicken fried rice and Taro boba. Everything was excellent. We had great service and the food was high quality. We will definitely be back soon.“
“This place is so delicious and the servings are ample and the price is right! The kids split the chicken chow mein, ordered with no veggies because the kids are super picky! They ate this right up and also the chicken egg rolls. The pork gyoza and chicken egg rolls were the perfect starters! Wife had the General Tsos, which I've had for lunch in the past, so perfect flavor and a tiny bit of spice. White meat chicken and not stringy or cheap cuts. My spicy miso ramen was flavorful and silky. The egg was cooked perfect and the pork was tender and melts in your mouth. This is a must place to be a regular go to! The value was outstanding. Two appetizers, 4 drinks, and 3 entrees for around $60 (before tip), and you get plenty of food! Can't praise this place enough and worth the find!“
“Finally. They have opened back up. Talk to the owner for a little bit and apparently due to power gird issues in the back of the build (the Amazon warehouse) they have to close down for a few days to renovate and since the whole building runs on one power grid they also lost power. And the reason for the health department sign was that because since the entire building lose power for a week, the health department have to come out and check if the food that’s in the freezer are still good. Now that the health department paid a visit yesterday they are finally opening up today“
“This place popped up over night. Ordered two teriyaki chicken bento boxes and an order of gyoza to go. The food was very good! The crab Rangoon in the bento box was the best I’ve ever had. The staff was nice and the service was quick. This place reminds me of quick counter service restaurants that I loved when I lived in Japan. It’s awesome to have a “fast food” Japanese Resturant in the neighborhood.“
“One of the best! Bring cash. Ordered takeout - red snapper and yellowtail nigiri… great! Also got cherry blossom, tiger eye, and rainbow rolls. All very VERY good. Cherry blossom and rainbow rolls were pretty small, but the flavor was definitely there! Cherry blossom roll was my favorite. Asked for “a lot of wasabi,” but had to go back for more as I only got one additional small scoop. They charge extra fee to pay with card, undisclosed until I was actively paying.“
“I wish I could figure out how to post videos because it would sum up my whole review in a matter of moments! Tom was our chef and I hope that every time we come from now on that he is who we get. Not only was his food flawless and phenomenal but he spent the whole time interacting, making us laugh, teasing the kids (in a good way of course), and keeping the conversation going without the awkwardness of being around a table full of new people. My daughter is 10 and is on the shy side and he even was able to get her joking with him. If you are in the area come for the food but ask for Tom because I guarantee you will leave not only with a full belly but a smile on your face from all the laughter.“
“AMAZING Price for unlimited Sushi. The quality of the food is good, never a bad piece of sushi had at this place. But again, you're not going to be getting Michelin star sushi for this price. Its not just sushi, the appetizers are amazing, the BEST crab rangoon I've ever had. And the staff is amazing. Very attentive and helpful if you have trouble with your order or figuring out the ipad. No wait limit on tables (unless they have a line of people) and so its the best place to bring a board game and play with your S/O or kids, read a book by yourself, or do some work during lunch while eating everything on their menu.“
“i went here for a school trip just recently! the food was incredible, and so was the presentation of the dishes. The staff was incredible, they were very nice and the service was speedy! the restaurant itself was super cozy and the seating was very comfortable. I have sensory issues and had no problem with the restaurant’s atmosphere, the temperature was comfortable as well. It’s aesthetically pleasing as well! not to mention the bathroom is nice, unlike other public restrooms. overall a 10/10, i would definitely recommend to check out this restaurant!“
“We went for happy hour. Amazing deals on huge pieces of fish. The tray we got was gigantic. They did miss a few of our rolls but it was ok in the end.The only reason why I am rating them so low in service was multiple other people's food was delivered to our table. Had to ask multiple times for drinks or rice. But I think the main reason is because they never dropped off the check. We asked multiple times and ended up going to the hostess stand to get it.“
“Beautiful decor, excellent food, great service. For Asian food, Tian Fu is a hidden gem on the East side of Indianapolis.Vegetarian options: We had the vegetarian Gyoza (dumplings) and they were excellent. Vegetable Lo Mein was also very good.“
“One of our favorite local restaurants! Naked chopsticks is a great restaurant with amazing food and great service. My kids love it and choose it anytime they have the say on restaurants. The ambiance is very chill and nice and the decorations make it such a relaxing place to eat. We have gone through many rewards cards. If you get the chance defiantly check it out.“
“I want to recommend this restaurant but I'm not sure... they did great with our group, including children. they sang happy birthday and that was fun ! they were cautious with our allergies. the cook was engaging and the food was good but there wasn't much of it. the portions were fairly small from what we have received at other area hibachi places. I guess I expected more, maybe order another side of rice in addition to the meal next time.“
“First off - the food is phenomenal. It is fresh, made to order, good portions, great prices. The shumai is honestly so well cooked I order it every time. The staff is great - the servers are all on top of tables - quickly refilling any low drinks and checking for empty plates to remove. The chef is top notch - the food is phenomenal. The managers are nice and keep a good eye out. The wine/beer/sake selection is quite fitting and they also have a full alcohol bar unlike many sushi/hibachi joints.Shoutout to my favorite server Maria.“
“Asian Harbor was my go to restaurant in the whole entire Indy area. The gentleman that answers the phone and does a plethora of other things was extremely nice, giving, caring, and overall very pleasant every single time I came in. I think about A.H. very often and have never found a place that comes close to what I want in a japanese/chinese restaurant quite like they did. At the very least, they deserve a 5 star review for all the lovely meals I’ve had from them in the past.“
“I absolutely love this place!!! I bring every friend and family member here that comes in to town. Service is unbeatable and the food is phenomenal. After being stationed in Japan, this is the closest thing my heart gets to the real stuff here in Indy.“
“It was overall a terrible experience, but the worst was the cook asked where my husband was. I was so shocked I didn't even know how to answer. 1) It's none of your business. And 2) That's so flippin rude! Who does that???!!! That was 2 days ago and I have been appalled ever since. So rude! And they added gratuity on their own account. There was only 2 of us.“
“Is it “fast food” hibachi? Yes. Is it good in relation to amount of food for price? Also yes. The portions are huge. Boyfriend and I order from here whenever I’m staying over because it is fast, good, and filling. I’m picky with veggies usually and I kinda like the cabbage. The flavor is pretty good for how fast and cheap it is. Also, I don’t love their crab rangoons but I like that sweet and spicy vinegar sauce they put with them.“
“The fried rice & the wings are a hit every single time that I go! When you call ahead, the service is always super quick & friendly. There's no place to sit indoors, so you have to take your food to go, but it's still a hidden gem!“
“Tucked a little outside of fountain square, you'll find a nice sushi spot! A friend of mine introduced me to this spot! Food: very yummy! Whether it's a seaweed salad, a soup or sushi! I tried all and was satisfied with the cost $ and the quality of freshness. Service: super sweet and quick Ambiance: cozy and relaxing I would definitely recommend if you're in need of a new sushi spot or in the fountain square area!“
“Kind of a run down and unassuming little spot (this location) but the food and price more than make up for the aesthetics. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. The mango salad was a standout for me. A much different flavor profile and texture than you will find at most places.“
“One of my favorite restaurants located inside The Garage! Their specialty rolls are very original, creative, and well thought out. Their ingredients are fresh & everything on the menu is delicious! My favorite roll is the Mango Tango. Never had an issue with service. The restaurant stand itself is pretty and their packaging is super cute. Love the overall aesthetic of Rolli:-)“
“wasabi on 82nd is a HIDDEN GEM. i have eaten here for 10+ years and they never disappoint. the food is delicious and always comes out quickly. the servers are kind and attentive (we had sisilia tonight and she was so sweet). if you’re an out of town guest or local sushi-lover, this place is a MUST TRY.“
“Update: I contacted the owner of the restaurant and he genuinely understood my concern and apologized for the behavior and promptly resolved the issue up to my satisfaction. Thank you for understanding. I really appreciate it.I went there with my friends today for the first time and I didn't order anything the minute I saw the menu. But my friends insisted to try something so I tried one tiny role of rice and avocado wrapped in black thing which tasted weird. After that I didn't eat anything. By the end service came and forced me to pay even though she knew I didn't eat anything. They should have informed us that regardless you eat anything you still gotta pay. May be with menu they should have given instructions.but nope, nothing. She was constantly staring at us. That was totally awkward vibe. Few minutes later she came in and demanded for us to tip and I told her that I didn't even eat anything but you forced me to pay just to sit there with my 2 friends. When I came back from there, I noticed that they charged me extra by fraud so now I am feeling like cheated. I basically sat in that hostile environment and paid them for what. And they were not satisfied by that and they thought it was okay for them to put fraud charges which I am gonna dispute. That was really rude and unethical. I DEFINITELY WOULD MOT RECOMMEND A NEW CUSTOMER. WOULD GIVE ZERO STAR IF THERE WAS OPTION. I need my money back. I feel like I was robbed. You didn't care 1 bit about customer's safety at all.“
“An exceptional dining experience. It was an 8 course meal but progressed at a nice, perfect pace. Never rushed to finish one course and once finished with the last course the next course was soon at our table. Every course was wonderful and the sake and wine parings suggested to us were great. . If asked “which course was our favorite “ we would answer “yes, all of them”. Very much looking forward to our next experience at Hinata.“
