50 Best Chinese Restaurants in Indianapolis

“Prices have leveled off here for a while now. And while I'll continue to be a curmudgeon about the cost, the food is always top notch and the portions are sizable enough to serve as at least one, maybe two leftover meals for the week. Server Charlie was promptly on top of refills and aux items (soy, a little more white rice), and boxed up our take-home quickly.
We are rewards members and find the premiums successful to draw us back here regularly. Local road washout will make it a longer drive for a few months, but we'll never give up Chang's!“

“My wife and I got the spring rolls, pork banh mi, and pho special. Atmosphere and service were excellent. Food was also good. The banh mi was warm. We’ve never had it that way before but it was very good. Pho broth was good and a little sweet. Add in the chili oil and it’s perfect.“

“Was craving chinese food and this place didn’t disappoint! It will be my go-to spot from now on. We got stir fry beef noodles and Sichuan beef noodle soup. Both were amazing! Service is super great as well.

They only have a couple of tables since it’s located inside Saraga grocery store, so we had to share the table with other customers, in which we didn’t mind at all! On the table they also have chilli oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper!“

“The best Chinese restaurant I have ever had in the city of Indianapolis. Something about the quality is different--chicken is moist, rice is delicious, and the sides are everything you want and more.

Will only be heading here moving forward. The other places just don't come close. And lunch was $7.95--can't beat it!“

“so ill try to be as honest as possible here
its difficult to rate the food, they are decent food, definitely not consistent though, sometimes its fire sometimes its just alright.
some reviews say it had a lot of breading and sometimes that is the case but sometiems not so much
all in all, they compensate for this by sheer volume you definitely get alot of food for the price especially in todays economy. maybe the quality of the food depends on their delivery days or prep days etc

the crab ragoon hits every time though idk waht people talking about soggy. theyre fire and they give a generous amount every time.

I still give it 4 stars, and if they ever went away I would definitely be sad.

the service is hard to say as well. I asked questions sometimes im not sure what the item is, and they struggle to explain it to me it seems. all in all though this isnt a major turnoff. I order take out usually because the atmosphere is kind of small. no problem though. I do wish they put chop sticks in the bag though sometimes I get home and realize I forgot to grab it“

“This is my favorite TAKE OUT Chinese restaurant in all of Indiana. I’ve been coming here since 2018, their lunch combos and dinner combos cannot be beat, and I start salivating at the thought of their egg rolls. The people who run this business have always been so sweet to me, my friends, and my husband ❤️ I’ve never really seen anyone eat inside, but I personally wouldn’t be offended by not having plates. It’s easier cleanup on everyone, and your food is already in take home containers. 🙂“

“I've loved Long Thanh for years. Even though I no longer live in the neighborhood, I make it a point to stop through every couple of months. It's a humble and cozy spot with delicious food. One of the few with excellent portions and quality at a fair price.“

“This is the best Chinese food in Indianapolis. I have tried a few, but I told the girlfriend who lives in Avon about this place. She noted that the general Tsao's chicken is especially tender and juicy even after being well cooked.
The loan made noodles are cooked with either a duck or peanut sauce. That's right no vegetable oil here.

Although my order took more than 30 minutes, the employee at the front desk did all she could and was very attentive to the waiting customers. She even checked up on each one of us, placing us ahead of the kitchen queue so we would get our orders as soon as possible. You could tell every one of them were trying their best. In the future, it would be helpful to provide more accurate wait times. The food itself was delicious, and I appreciate the effort the team put in during such a busy day. “I have eaten at Sizzling Wok occasionally for about 15 years (like once a year or so). The food is always amazing. I always have more than I can eat in one meal and have another full meal to take home. I love the noodle soups the most and they are very big. I’ve tried non-soup dishes too but tbh I don’t remember the names! I just read the description and pick something that sounds good and it’s always delicious. The service is great and wait time is reasonably quick. The only thing I think they could improve is a little better housekeeping. I will keep coming back for the food but if it was a bit cleaner I would give all 5 stars. I took it one star off for atmosphere bc it could definitely be cleaner.“

“Been going here for for @31 years. I always get my order to go. My favorites include Moo go gai pan and the General Tso's chicken. I usually order the combination plate which includes an egg roll, fried rice and egg drop soup. (I think they also offer a hot & sour soup instead). They combo plate is about $11.50 and I can usually get 2 healthy meals out of it. There's a big menu and the owners are very nice. Closed Monday. I like it, it's a good deal!“

“The food wasn't flavorful/my tastebuds didnt agree with the taste. The lady taking my order was helpful. The food was hot and it was a large portion for the price. I ended up taking 4-5 bites before throwing it in the trash. The spingrolls were mushy inside.“

It looks a litemrough right now because they're front door is busted and sealed with plywood. But that sure doesn't effect the kitchen and cooks! The food was amazing! I got and order of the crab rangoon and it was some of the best Ive ever had. It was more flat than traditional rangoons are but it was better as you could get more flavor in every bite! Some of our favorites include “greatest hits” like General Tso Chicken, Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, and Orange Chicken. “This was my first time at Peking. I liked their online order system. We ordered cashew chicken and Szechuan chicken combo meals. I was able to touch the drop down box on the fried rice, and change it to white rice. The only drawback on the online menu is that it doesn't give the ingredients.
The order was ready when I arrived, about 20 minutes later. The lady at the counter was friendly.
The pork egg rolls that came with the combo meals were delicious. Not greasy, but crispy and good flavor.
My wife thought the cashew chicken was just okay, but better when she added soy sauce. She was surprised that the chicken pieces were lightly breaded. She would have preferred it without the breading.
I ordered a small hot and sour soup. It was very good. The Szechuan chicken was also tasty, with the right amount of heat.
Overall, I think the portions are plentiful and a good value for the money. We will be back.“

“Stopped in for Lunch.
$10 gets you an entree, soup, fried rice and an egg roll.
Sweet and sour chicken sauce was great. The pre-made chicken was not the best but everything else was great. Everything was fresh and hot.

“I went with a group of friends, and had a great time. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. She even gave us free chicken and fried rice. Everything was fantastic. I had the General Tso’s Chicken and my friends had the Mongolian Beef. It was all great. I would highly recommend this place if you haven’t been already.“

“I visited Bento Asian Bistro and absolutely loved it.
The restaurant is right on the corner, which makes it a very convenient location with easy access. Inside, I really enjoyed the nice atmosphere.

The service is good, and a special thanks to Yuki who takes our order and is always so helpful and welcoming.
I like the food because everything is so delicious. My kids love the General Tso’s Chicken, and the Mango Bubble Tea is my personal favorite. We tried the edamame last time too, and it was really good.

“We ordered dinner from here tonight. The staff were friendly and the food was great. The chicken lo mein was probably the most flavorful of any restaurant I’ve tried. The General Tso’s chicken and crab rangoon were also very good. The fried rice wasn’t the best, but it was better than the fried rice from most quick service Chinese restaurants.“

The general TSOs chicken wasn't as spicy as I like it. I did specify I was wanted it spicy. The fried dumplings were absolutely great. It was a lil pricey but definitely worth it. “Food was great, amazing portion sizes, it only took fifteen minutes to make, and I picked up. We had the pork fried rice, fried dumplings, shrimp mei fun, and sweet and sour chicken and friend rice.

I had like fifteen shrimp in my mei fun, so whoever was complaining about a lack of shrimp the next day, I think just ate all their shrimp the first day and wanted to complain 😂

“Almost everything here is made fresh and made to order! A family owned restaurant, I see a lot of potential in this place as they continue to grow. The owners were nice enough to adjust my orders to my likings (spicy this or extra onions in that) and I will say that homemade hot and sour soup is hands down the best I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant! Must try! The beef literally melts in your mouth and was just as good.

“my first time here. The facade of the strip mall has changed. Big Lots is out of business. And now there are two more side-by-side restaurants to First Wok with two others in the same strip mall. With Big Lots being vacant. What I can say so far is that the upgrade of the facade done by the property management company is already failing. No fault of first wok or the other businesses. What I can say is it is 6:00 p.m. on a Friday evening and Hannah's Bar and Grill Indian cuisine is not open and neither is Fire and Ice cafe. The food was good, but it was $33 for one person“

Sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to the table. When Isaac did make to the table, I was quite frank explained our disappointment thus far. Isaac apologized and brought out cold glasses of water and explained he had 2 large party tables. He took our order, was interested in who we were and what we were doing. One little hiccup with our order, they were out of pork dumplings, so we had shrimp. The food came out hot and delicious for me. Hubby ordered the Orange chicken and it was not to his liking. He likes hit spicy hot and it was only tangy. My Crispy Honey Chicken was fantastic! You could tell the GenCon crowd had enjoyed the evening. I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese food and restaurants and this one has never disappointed.
