Big Lug is one of the best spots in Indy. Smash burger with curly fries, side of ranch and a Lo-Cal Ranch Water you can’t go wrong. We get excellent service every time, this past visit our server Kevin was very thorough and attentive. The patio outside is great, and the vibe upstairs is great too. Love it here!!!!

Got lunch here today, and loved the option of getting half salad and half wrap or burger. I ended up going with half burger (which is just a slightly smaller, but still very decent sized burger. They obviously don’t cut it in half, just give a smaller portion). The salad was great too. My kids got chicken tenders. One got regular fries and one got curly fries. All were good, but we all liked the curly fries the best. The drinks were good too. My only complaint is that we arrived when they opened (11am), and the music was too loud. It was only us and one other table for a while, and the music was set to a volume you’d expect in the evening when the place is full with people drinking. That’s my only complaint is the volume for that slower time of day. Prices were good too!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, but don’t have anything for the kids to do (typically, there’d be something to color). Luckily, we always bring several options with us, so it was fine.

I've had the pleasure of calling this establishment my local watering hole for 7 years. The staff is accommodating and fun. The upstairs bartender, Jeff, is a great source of knowledge about breweries, distilleries, and wineries across the US.One of the main downstairs bartenders, Meghan, makes the best Irish Coffee that I've ever had. She won't steer you wrong on menu recommendations and on the weekly specials. Meghan also makes a killer Bloody Mary.

I tried the Margherita pizza and Philly cheesesteak. The Philly was actually amazingly delicious. The pizza on the other hand was not good. The service was a little slow, but friendly. I probably would go back just for the Philly cheesesteak.

The first time I went it was mine blowing great food the next week i went it was horrible I had a 50/50 Burger the bacon was not done all the way they didn't put enough sauce on my burger it was way smaller than the one I had last time I came It had way more bread on my Burger it wasn't fix like my first one I got the fried cauliflower it wasn't good but that was my fault the brownie was pretty good I felt bad because I brought my nephew and his son and was bragging about the food they didn't like it either
You can’t go wrong with dinner at Big Lug. The menu is huge with options to suit every mood. But don’t miss the fried cheese curds and the spicy garlic cauliflower! I only wish they could add some alcohol-free beer to the lineup.

Met my friend here for lunch. Food was delicious and servings were very generous. We both got different variations of the half salad half sandwich deal. They do not skimp on the protein either! Plenty left to take home. The Cuban sandwich and cranberry chicken salad are excellent.I also asked my server if she had any non-alcoholic mock tails and she provided this absolutely delicious tropical fruity concoction she called a Beach Towel (cause it's dry ?). It was her own recipe and so dang good! Highly recommend this place.Parking: Huge parking lot next to building. Very easy to get to.

For food of this quality in this day and age (2023), I am very impressed at the ability to get a well-portioned, good-tasting sandwich and side for $14. Their beers are creative, the standard ones are pretty good. Some of the more out-there beers are not so good in my opinion. Been happy with my experiences every time here (4/4). Had slow service one time on a busy night, but it was acceptable.Parking: Plenty of parking. Too much parking in my opinion. Shared lot with other facilities but still wasted space.
