Big Lug Canteen Reviews
I was in tonite and ordered to go; the Spicy Garlic Wings, the Hoss Dip, the Nashville Chicken Biscuits, and the Tommy Pizza. All of it, hands down PHENOMENAL!!! So good! The Pirate Cat Brown is a delicious beer for you to drink while waiting for your food! Will probably go back tomorrow nite! Im from out of town and this is close to Ironworks where I’m staying!
Always a good experience. Tasty food including some healthy options and great service.
Big Lug has fantastic food! But they really push their beer. I really didn't like their beer, and I think they should carry some domestic beer. And a tiny margarita was $11. But the food was great and we had great service. Atmosphere? It looked a little kiddish if you know what I mean.

Big Lug Canteen is a new favorite spot known for its delicious food and great beers. The patio offers great vibes, and dishes like Hoss dip, Nashville hot chicken, brussel sprouts, and curly fries have received positive feedback. While the service is commendable, with cool servers, the quality of beer can be hit or miss, and some customers suggest adding domestic options. Poutine fries and burgers are decent, but expectations for the poutine portion size may vary. The back patio is highly rated, especially for frozen margaritas and choriqueso. The atmosphere might feel a bit kiddish to some, but the prices remain affordable, making it a good place for gatherings, even with larger groups. The staff is friendly, and while there are limited vegetarian options, the kids menu is appreciated.
