A lucky mistake while we were out and about for dinner and got turned away from another restaurant in the area. There were a few other tables and it did take about 10-15 minutes to place our order, but the food was prepared quickly and did not disappoint. We had pineapple fried rice, chicken pad Thai, and orange chicken. I ordered mine medium and it had nice flavor with a hint of spice, but I'd go up to medium / hot next time. The serving size was perfect. My daughter loved the pad Thai, stating it's the best pad Thai she ever had. They gave bubble milk tea as well, which my daughter also enjoyed. The restaurant is a little dark inside, but I could see it being a romantic option for a couple.

I recently went to lunch with a friend for the first time in a minute and I am so glad I did! Most fried rice I've ordered from other places is usually extremely bland. Not here! Great spices that elevate this dish! Can't beat the lunch special for 11.99 that also includes soup snd and a spring roll. I ordered mine vegetarian with added basil at level 1. Perfect for me! However, if you like a kick, a few days later I ordered the same dish with a level 2.... If you like a kick it's got you! The staff is amazing! Professional and extremely kind! I highly recommend this restaurant in our village!

Initially, I enjoyed the pictured basil fried rice on a chill and gloomy Saturday after an impromptu trek for a new and intriguing cologne. The atmosphere was so: quaint, inviting, yet soothing and undemanded. I exiled my self-indulgence for a moment to invite wife out to partake in a Sunday evening soiree of authentically spiced Thai cuisine at my new found secret....she too concluded, "this is some of the best in the city!"

Best Thai food I've had since moving to Indy 17 years ago. Shockingly not busy on a great weather Saturday just before spring. A little off the main roads which is the only reason I can imagine why. Parking available right out front, and absolutely terrific food. One of the best Thai iced teas I've had anywhere, and fast, attentive service. Hope to be back soon.

Food is absolutely fine. But they need to tighten this place up if they want to be a sit down restaurant. Bazbeaux next door takes itself seriously as a sit down restaurant. This place don't.

This restaurant is a cheater ! They charge my card more than the tip I gave...I just notice it today! I boycott this restaurant ! i hate dishonest people !I just called them few minutes ago.., to file a complaint.., the one who answered me tried to lie that he cant find the ticket and he has lot of customers... and he even told me that it's only a matter of $2-$4 extra being charged...and hang up the phone !!! quite RUDE ! WTH! THAT'S IS NOT THE POINT !, THE FACT IS THAT YOU ARE DISHONEST !How come they can't find the ticket, gave them the table #, the time, the orders, and in fact they only have 3 customers at that time.., It's easy to look for it in the system. LIAR LIAR !!!I have the receipt as a proof ! Expect a visit from authorities my friend !

Tucked away in Broad Ripple near the canal, Chiang Mai is one of my go-to takeout and lunch spots. The quality is always consistent and they have a fabulous lunch special. I'm a big fan of their curries (especially the green curry), fried rice dishes (omg the Hawaiian Fried Rice), and of course their noodles (the pad kee mao / drunken noodles are a must-order). Don't forget to treat yourself to a Thai iced tea. Don's sleep on Chiang Mai!

My business banker, who lived in Thailand, told me about this place and recommended some dishes. I immediately went over and ordered takeout. I ordered Tom Yum Kung, Tom Kha Gai, Thai fried rice, crab rangoons, Thai custard sticky rice, and a Thai iced coffee to enjoy while I waited. The ambiance was pleasant and the place was clean, though not overly fancy. Everyone on the staff was super nice to me and the bartender who took my order talked with me while I waited. The Thai iced coffee was fantastic and reminded me of Cuban coffee. My order was ready quickly. Everything was still hot when I got home and my husband and I tried a little of everything and literally everything was incredible. The flavors were absolutely unreal. I'm not an expert in Thai food, so I have no idea how Chiang Mai stacks up to other Thai places. What I do know is that the food was pretty spectacular. I hadn't tried Tom Yum Kung or Tom Kha Gai before and they were both flavorful and exciting (tip from my banker: don't eat everything in the Tom Yum Kung; some of the ingredients are there for seasoning.) The Thai fried rice was so good I may never go back to Chinese fried rice. Same with the crab rangoons; they were less sweet than the Chinese versions I've had, and the dough was incredibly light and crisp. The Thai custard with sticky rice was a fabulous finish to this meal, and although we finished this dish and the rangoons at lunch, we were able to keep leftovers for two more meals from the generous portions. Chiang Mai will now be one of our regular haunts because when the food is this good, you can't help but return. Highly recommend!

No pictures of the Thai king so the atmosphere was off. We need more Buddha in there too, for the atmosphere. Pad Thai was actually good. Spicy level 4 is not that spicy. Level 5 out of 6 seems like it would have just the right amount of kick. I'll try it next time. Boba tea was good. The water did not taste like tap so that's a plus. Chicken Satay was pretty good. Dumplings were also very nice. It's hard to find good Pad Thai around here. This is good Pad Thai. Regret not tipping more. Parking is not great anywhere in broad ripple so good luck.
