4/30/24 We went to the City BBQ on US 31 for dinner around 430 today. As usual, the food was excellent! However, there was an employee there that wasn't! First, my husband is on a knee scooter so I took the bbq sauce bottle to the table so he could put some on his plate. There was a female employee there in a rusty colored T-shirt, shorts (grey?) and boot type shoes. When I returned the bottle a short couple of minutes later she very meanly said a very pointed, sarcastic toned "thank you" like I had done something terrible. Then later, I went to refill my sweet tea and the container was empty. The cashier who had rung us up was standing there and said very sweetly that she'd have it refilled. She then turned and asked the employee who had been rude to me previously to refill it, to which that employee said, quote, "It ain't my f--king job!" in the dining area with people! We just left at that!!! With that kind of attitude, that person should not be working around dining customers! She ruined a perfectly good meal for us!!!

Meh .... Brisket was dry and wings were extensively overcooked and dry. Long wait for food after ordering too. Pastrami sandwich turned out good though. Restaurant was pretty much clean. Trays removed from tables along with trash but not wiped off

If this is the one in greenwood first time I've been disappointed first they forgot my order asked them about it and they said takes time I get 30min.for lunch they had already used 20 the cook was just standing there waiting on orders it was rib bone Tues I asked the cook if my order was ready he said I don't have it the girl behind the counter said I told you we were working on it that pissed me off I told the cook myself what I ordered he made it and she just stood there I won't go back there

Brisket, not quite as good as last time. But the pulled pork, greens. green beans, and other side dishes were fantastic!!!

Service was great! They have definitely raised their prices which is fine, but if you're going to raise your prices, you can't cut back on the quality & quantity of food. They used to give you a good amount with 2 sides included in the meal. They no longer do that everything is separate. It cost my husband and I $35 for the 2 most basic meals.. not even in sandwiches literally just meat by itself (brisket was SO small and didn't taste how it used to) 2 sides and small drinks. The cornbread was awful.. dry and burnt. Coleslaw and Mac were pretty good but we still left hungry, which is not acceptable paying almost 40$

A little pricey, but the food and service was good. I was kind of surprised that they didn't have burnt ends, but the brisket sandwich was delicious.

It's not Memphis style BBQ - it is very good BBQ, though. The brisket was very tender and a good smoked flavor. The sausage was great! The beans with brisket in them (the proper way as it should be!) were very good.I would recommend City BBQ! I really liked the atmosphere here also.

Ordered brisket , it came out in chunks and mostly fat. Took it back and got a wonderful plat of beef. My issue is why did they send out the first.
