What a tremendous value eating here for lunch is here as part of Ivy Tech's Culinary Training Program. For $20 per person, you get a 3-course meal of appetizer, entree and dessert. There are several choices for the first two courses and usually one or two items for dessert. Beer is as inexpensive as $2 and glasses of wine for $8 per glass or $15 for a bottle. Students are learning to run a restaurant from all aspects including the hostess station, servers, manager and cooks. Tables are set with white table clothes with nice plates and silverware. It's a very nice venue which decades ago was a Marriott Hotel restaurant. It's on the top penthouse floor with great views of the city from 3 sides. Very enjoyable.

Our group of four enjoyed a delightful lunch at Courses with great views of downtown Indianapolis. The waitress was very competent, answered our menu questions and attended to everything to make our meal enjoyable. Thanks to the students in the kitchen, the entrees were amazing especially the Asado beef roasted over fire. We finished our meal choosing between two wonderfully different desserts. The Courses restaurant is a gem in the city and we have been there many times and will continue looking forward to enjoying the dining experiences. seated by the windows overlooking the Indianapolis skyline. The waitress was very competent and assisted us with our menu questions. As a starter, the choice of appetizers pleased everyone. The entree of delicious beef was roasted to perfection by the students in the kitchen. We finished our meal with decadent desserts. This was the best dining experience we have had at the Courses and a gem of a restaurant!

I highly recommend supporting the Ivy Tech culinary program by dining at Courses. The menu offerings are outstanding and the value is exceptional. You will also meet the wonderful youth involved in the program who are learning and practicing real time. The views from the penthouse dining room are spectacular! Perhaps I will see you there soon. I plan to take advantage of each opportunity to dine at Courses!

Relaxing flavor savory from Europe, Africa, & Argentina. Tho I like my empanada stuffed, not topped, it was fun to try. Byron and crew were friendly student servers eager to please.

Great service, if slightly inexperienced, but it is a student-run establishment. They are very excited and a little nervous, but they do really well! Food was phenomenal—would easily pay 3x for what you get anywhere else, drinks are super cheap with good options, and they accommodate well for gluten sensitivities and special occasions. My wife and I will be making this a regular date! Historical location as well. Super cool!

Everything was exceptional however one tip I would give is the earlier the better. Bc for this place to be reservation only they somehow did not prepare enough food for the parties they had. N it took three times of them coming back to the table to inform us that they no longer had this item or that. So that was frustrating bc I would've preferred them check with the chef first as too not let us get set on having something that they no longer had. The last time the hostess did not want to return to tell us yet again that they did not have something, so she sent in the another hostess. But the price was exceptional as well n they did get my son to try something that he otherwise would not have so I left happy none the less.

Courses is a great experience. Because things operate by students, sometimes service is not outstanding, but that's what happens when students are learning. Overall it's a wonderful value with great food.

Excellent dining experience last night! The food was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect. Our server (a student) was a bit nervous but she did just fine. Know when you are going to Courses it is a student run restaurant and everyone is learning so be nice (which one should do at any restaurant!) We will definitely go back and recommend to our friends!

The Ivy Tech Culinary School's restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Indianapolis. Not only will you be treated to an exceptional meal, but you'll also have the opportunity to support and encourage the next generation of culinary and hospitality professionals. By dining at this restaurant, you are directly contributing to their education and future success in the industry.

The turkey mole was pleasantly spiced with a comfortable heat level. My dining partner's pasta however was less than al dente--quite chewy. This was probably the first time in our numerous times of dining here--our overall favorite restaurant--that one of the dishes was disappointing.

Diamond quality so good by earnest students able mentors and inspired fare craft! Teutonic Maximilian paired a fine Gerwertztraminer to bridge 3 courses very nicely. Seared scoliosis in Bouillabaisse, African-tandoor chicken. In flight with raspberry torte & chocolate cake was warm comfort for my airport stranded friend whose dinner had to become my most welcome leftover in years. Support this mastery!

As always this was a great dinner. The only issue is that the lamb, although well flavored, seemed a bit dry after running out of tzatziki sauce. Otherwise everything was terrific. I did notice however, that on this night the only white wine selection was a champagne which isn't usual per their menu. As I was interested in a red wine on this occasion, that wasn't a problem for me.

The view is fantastic. The steak au poivre was a little overdone, but the rest was quite good. Especially the leek soup. Personnel did the very best they could and were friendly, but appeared to be short-staffed.

3 course meal was EXCELLENT! The downside is the student servers are a bit few and far between. We had to ask for our water glasses to be filled twice and each was after wait quite a while trying to catch one!
