Place was awesome when it was El Chavo’s but they are closed now. They were taken over by a place named Chef D’s and it sucks. I miss El Chavo…. Please let me know where the next location opens.
Thank you for the wonderful dining experience at El Chavo 8 restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tamales with green peppers strips and cheese, topped with hot green sauce and extra cheese, were absolutely delicious. The homemade fruit fresh water was a refreshing touch. The service provided was excellent and we truly enjoyed the authentic Mexican cuisine. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a taste of Mexico in Indianapolis. Very friendly! They don’t skimp; the Tinga Tostada came piled with their marinated chicken, and fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato, créma, and what I assumed to be cotija cheese all on top of a crispy corn tortilla. It was accompanied by red and green sauces in which the date it was made was written, assuring you that everything has been made fresh.This place is a perfect spot to grab a bite to make sure you don’t shop on an empty stomach!
