Farmer's Fridge

Found at an MSP. I travel a lot and this was a great solution for a fresh evening meal. Pleasantly surprised by the Pesto Chicken Pasta salad! 🥗

I travel a lot for work. Last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and really made some changes to how I eat. Farmer's Fridge allows me to eat well, and nourish my body while I travel. The salads are delicious!

When I arrived at LAX late at night, I was disappointed to find that all the food options were closed. Hungry and unsure of what to get, I stumbled upon a Farmer’s Fridge vending machine and decided to give it a try. I chose the chicken Caesar salad, not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the flavors were well-balanced, and it tasted far better than I anticipated. It was a convenient and satisfying option, and I’d definitely grab one again in a pinch!

After you pass by security, there is not a lot to eat in this airport--so Farmer's Fridge is most welcome. It is a vending machine with a few clearly labeled vegan items, with the ingredients clearly labeled as well. Not gourmet stuff, but it is pretty good (and there is not a lot of competition after you pass security). They have a few machines in this airport, both in Concourse A and B.

I've loved all of these machines I've run into. Healthy, fresh, fast, and reasonably priced for airport fare.

Fast cheap clean and easy. Flight was delayed and restaurants were closed. I had a Baja chicken wrap and ate it so fast I didn’t take a picture and this salad. Containers are nice and sealed well. It was difficult for me to find eating utensils but a reviewer said to find it right by on the side of the machine? so I finally was able to eat in peace ☺️

The picked farro salad said nowhere that there was bacon and there was no option on the POS to remove it. I ordered it as a vegan, and didn’t know it came with bacon!! Please advertise this??! At least so I have the option to remove it from the salad. Otherwise the lady working on 8/16 was a very nice and accommodating and the rest of the salad was good.

If you are in a hurry, I would recommend letting your server know. I mentioned I was vegan, and they said they had two vegan options (with alterations): farro salad or potato bowl. I chose the farro salad (without Asiago cheese, and I never did confirm the dressing ingredients so should probably check if you are vegan). It was super delicious! The servers were very nice and extremely patient, but I could see how if you are in a hurry it would not work well unless you notified them ahead of time. The music was a throwback R&B/HipHop mix (CeCePeniston, Will Smith, Usher, J-Lo, songs like Here Comes the Hotstepper, California Love, etc.)

Visited this location on March 22nd, 2023 around 3pm with 6 of my coworkers while waiting for a flight. We sat in the bar area, ordered drinks and food. There was one server and a bartender/server. Parts of the restaurant had to be closed, because they were short staffed. No issue. My co workers placed orders and after a lengthy wait, two of them went to the to go section and were told they didn't receive our order. When they returned to tell the bartender/server she had an attitude and rudely told my coworkers that the kitchen did have our order....they just all went on break at the same time. When they got their food (I grabbed something from the ToGo section), most of their orders were incorrect. A woman approached our group at the bar and sat down next to us. She asked if the wait was lengthy because she had a connecting flight to catch. I politely let her know that she would have a bit of a wait, but that she could order something to go on the opposite side. She thanked us and walked over. Minutes after the bartender/server confronted me and asked what I had said to the woman to make her go to the ToGo section. I can understand being short staffed and overwhelmed, but the bartender/server's attitude was just all around bad.

It was a bit pricey but very delicious. I guess most food is pricey in the airport so it was average priced for airport food. I could not resist the coconut chia pudding. So tasty and fresh. You can download the app for a discount on your first order.

For what’s available, it’s a quick, healthy, and fresh option. We got burrito bowls and granola- they tasted pretty good and were actually affordable. Would highly recommend for anyone (esp vegetarian/vegans)!
