Hollyhock Hill Reviews
Having been a customer of Hollyhock Hill for over 30 years, I can easily say that the current ownership has turned it into the worst restaurant in Indianapolis. You can get better food, more of it and better service at Wheeler Mission or the worst Churches Chicken in the city. We will never, ever return.

Hollyhock Hill is a restaurant known for its delicious fried chicken and tasty salmon. The servings are generous, and the food is always hot and flavorful. The restaurant offers a bottle of their popular salad dressing for sale. The staff is attentive, ensuring glasses are refilled and leftovers are packed away. Guests have often felt cared for by the team, who handle details with warmth and grace. Despite being a small restaurant, they can accommodate large groups, providing excellent service even when busy.
Many customers enjoy visiting Hollyhock Hill once a year because the food remains very good. The chicken, gravy, and all the sides are often praised, and the place tends to be packed, showing it’s still popular. Some reviews mention that the inside could use an update, and the landscape used to be more pretty. A few customers miss some menu items like cottage cheese and the traditional uniform of servers, but overall, the restaurant still offers a down-home, family-friendly atmosphere. The biscuits are now better than the rolls, and the chicken and sides are consistently enjoyed. Overall, the food is plentiful and tasty, and while service can vary, many find it friendly and professional. Hollyhock Hill remains a place worth visiting for comfort food done right.
