Illinois Street Food Emporium

I’ve been here a couple times for lunch and it’s just not super impressive to me. It’s almost always incredibly busy and I quickly learned to make a pick up order unless you have time to wait. My last visit today is probably the reason I won’t be back. The gentleman working the counter was mumbling so bad and just seemed unimpressed to be there. I had to ask him four times what he was saying and then he shouted it at me in front of everyone. The service in the atmosphere just aren’t it for me and the food is Fairly priced but nothing spectacular.

nice place, chicken salad croissant was ok. the chicken salad was pretty bland. added some some salt and pepper. croissant was nice and buttery. my coke was pretty flat.

The Emporium Sandwich and the Rocky Ripple roast beef sandwich were great--5 stars! However the pasta salad was weird--had green beans in it (? wha??) only 2 stars for that. My husband also ordered an eclair. YUM! 5 stars.The service was good too. Everyone working there was very pleasant.

If you park in front of the building the workers will intentionally try to damage your vehicle. Weird people. Food is just okay, on the weekends it’s usually so packed the line wraps to the door.

Stopped in to visit with some colleagues and loved everything we got - donuts, coffee, latte, omelet, and egg scramble. I'd only had their donuts on Butler's campus before this trip, and now I'm looking for my excuses to go back!

Soup was good, but not for the price! Should at least come with some Bread.

The cheese on my grilled cheese was not melted at all, and my sandwich had wheat bread rather than the sour dough I ordered. Very disappointing given the high rating.

Staff very friendly. My sandwich tasty.
