Worst dermatologist experience ever in this location. Called in crying because I could not function day to day with the amount of skin problems I was having. literally could not finish a shift of work without all my scabs breaking open and covering me in blood. I tried multiple times to get a medical leave for work but the hospital never submitted their side of the paperwork. I was forced to get a new job and was told to wait 8 MONTHS to see a specialist. For anyone else in my situation, I am leaving this review for you, do not come here. Saint Vincent had me suited up with the right medication within a WEEK. the doctors I saw at this location were LAZY. They should have fought the insurance companies to get dupixent for me. I have seen a complete transformation of my skin within a month. I am so sad i wasted almost a year trying to get help at this location. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR DERMATOLOGY !!!!!

My mother-in-law 73 yrs old had surgery to remove major hernias that lasted over 8 hours as expected and Dr.Ritter which by the way was very good and helpful. But after getting her to the room which she shared by the way she was in the most pain I’ve ever seen. My wife asked if she could get her pain medication and they said they could at 9:00 pm and it was only 7:30pm at the time. 9:00 came and went still no pain medication. I was in the waiting room by the nurses station and heard them mouthing about my wife keep asking about getting her pain medication “very very unprofessional!!!” She finally got it about 10:00 pm!!!!! My wife was so upset to see her 73 year old mother in not a little but excruciating pain for no reason!!! So sad!!! Shows how much they care!!!!!!! Would not recommend to anyone!!!! Dr. Ritter is only reason for 1 star!!! Again so sad and pitiful!!!!

WORST hospital experience ever! My mom came in for major surgery. It had been planned for 2 weeks. After having surgery and going to recovery, we find out there is no bed for her! We listened to the staff at the desk talking about all sorts of topics but what should have been discussed. For 2 hours they told us they were working on cleaning a room for her but she had yet to get into one! It's now been 5.5 hours and we still haven't been able to see her! I will NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone!!!

If this is the gold star of hospital care, I would hate to see what other hospitals offer. I would never go to this hospital again. It's been 4 months since I spent a week there and I cannot think of a single thing I liked. My 2 stars would be a 10 for the transport people taking me to x-ray and to the exit.

Parking and instructions are real issues as I was directed to come pick up a patient "asap" and then directed to "circle" by Dennison parking because I couldn't wait.

University Hospital transferred my partnerJerry after a 2 week hospital stay to a physical rehabilitation hospital and called an out of network ambulance to make the transfer. We really can't afford this $711 Ambulance charge from an out of network provider. We were in the hospital, paid by Aetna, from Jan 11 to Jan 25, and then transferred to Wellbrooke Carmel rehab facility on Jan 25 where Jerry stayed thru Feb 9. It was the hospitalist or charge nurse on Jan 25 who ordered the transfer and ambulance. I was there to transport Jerry just assuming we would be driving ourselves, but they said he had to go by ambulance and that it had been ordered. No one said anything about it being out of network. Now Aetna is only paying a portion, and we "may be billed" $711. This is just not something we feel we should have to pay. We called and talked to Indiana University Hospital billing and they said the matter was still in the insurance claim process and they had no billing information at all. But Aetna website shows the claim for $1665 from the ambulance company, only paid a portion, and says we may be be billed $711. We are now afraid we are going to be receiving a bill from this out of network ambulance company called Statewide Transfer Ambulance and Rescue for $711 for an ambulance we didn't call, and didn't need really. We expected him to be discharged and brought down to our car and for us to drive ourselves to the rehab facility which was going to get him walking again. Why would IU Health University Hospital intentionally call an out of network ambulance, why wouldn't they allow us to drive ourselves, why didn't they tell us the ambulance was out of network, and why don't they let their billing office even talk to us about it? Its a real problem and we have a big complaint about it.

I don't know what to say. I am beside myself. I have never been treated so rudely. My son is having surgery at this facility and this is my experience. Coming to the hospital. There is nothing marked as far as what area of the hospital is what. After getting several directions, a couple of trips throughout the facility, about an hour later my wife and I found where we needed to be. Then we find out that there are only 2 people allowed in the waiting room. So his wife and my wife are in the waiting room. I was in the cafeteria for a while but it closed. The lobby chairs are all taken. I am guessing because of their waiting room policy. Now I am sitting in my truck in the parking garage. Mind you they said the surgery will be 4 to 7 hours. I thought about pushing the situation and raising a little cain, but then decided that will not do anyone any good. I sure hope they take better care of their patients than they do the family of the patients. This is my son!!! It is not like I am an uncle or something. And make sure you steer clear of the bathrooms. I have been in cleaner truck stop bathrooms. Not too much I can do about the situation. But I will be sure to let everyone know to go somewhere else if given a choice. I know my rant here will not do any good but am doing it anyway.

I tired talking to someone before I came to google. However IU University pusher the problem on other departments. The patient relates don’t respond to patients complaints. The hospital up keeper is horrible I have images to show it

They saved my life twice already and would do it again. World-Class. What else is there to say?

THEY MAKE YOU REGISTER YOURSELF FOR YOUR OWN SURGERY! Elderly people should not have to deal with that! We emailed about it and never heard back. Nice nurses though.

The midwifery team here turned out to be a major let down. Basically just OBs…very medical and pushy. From the moment my water broke they were trying to sabotage my plan for a natural water birth. They would not stop trying to induce me and telling me I wasn’t in labor even though I was having regular contractions. They were using cervical dilation as the only indication of my progression and saying that I was failing to progress even as pain and frequency of contractions was increasing. I was finally guilted and pressured into an induction, after which my contractions went to 100 and she’s still sitting there telling me that I’m not in labor. Offering 0 help and honestly just being in the way of my coping skills. She caught me in a moment of weakness as I was literally about to give birth and talked me into an epidural KNOWING THATS NOT WHAT I WANTED, and then by the time the anesthesiologist comes in I feel my babies head coming out, to which not a single person acknowledged. I asked them to stop and instead they told me not to move and put the needle in my back anyways during a contraction. 30 minutes later she was born. She even had the audacity to say that I was only in labor after I got the epidural…like no girl idk where you went to school but I was in labor for hours. Sorry that my cervical dilation didn’t match up with your textbook. Remind me not to consent to those next time, which won’t be here

Just try and get through to the Motility department! Even their voice mail is snobby!!

The doctor who delivered my baby here, in an attempt to break my water, went too far and penetrated my baby’s skull, killing him. I delivered a still born. This is after I told the doctor I wanted to be induced. She insisted on breaking my water. This happened in 2019 and it’s taken almost 5 years for me to have the courage to write this. I looked into filing a lawsuit, but the statute of limitations had passed by the time I had grieved and had the mental capacity to look into it.

I go here for primary care, and the only reason is because I like the doctor, and that's where the positives end. The staff is very rude and extremely unprofessional downright ghetto. Every time I'm there, the staff the patients like like they are an inconvenience, not the client. The behavior is honestly disgusting, and if I didn't truly like my doctor, I would be gone in an instant.
