“It was long overdue, but I finally made it out to my cousin's restaurant. I've heard nothing but good things about it & finally got to taste it for myself..& it was deeeeliscious! I'm so glad it was good because I've told a million people to try it even though I hadn't even been there yet myself.. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.. I didn't see Ja'Net Edwards this evening, but I wanna catch her there so I can tell her how proud of her I am.. ?“

“This is an incredible spot that has been family ran for years! Prepare for a line as it’s very locally popular? The patties are a must, but the wings are very fire too. If you get anything though get it with their signature spicy ketchup ?‍?“

“The restaurant was clean and inviting BUT be prepared to wait in line. I stood in line for 30 minutes with only 3 people ahead of me.. It’s only one person taking orders and payments, preparing the orders.. also make sure you go at least an 2 hours before the restaurant closes they run out of food.. I got there 730pm and oxtail among other items was sold out.“

“Delicious! You arrive, place your order at the counter, and you select your beverage out of the cooler. No alcohol available. You pay at the counter. They have tables for you to eat inside or you can take your food to go. All good arrives in to-go containers. I ordered the chicken curry dinner and chose 2 sides. I chose the cabbages and jollof rice. The amount of food and the price is very reasonable. It was perfectly seasoned! I plan to come back and take an order home for dinner n my way home. We had a large group and they took very good care of us. Definitely recommend!“

“As others have stated, the people cooking and running the place are quite friendly and accomodating. I was able to discuss my health related diet restrictions and get recommendations on entrees that fit my needs. The decor inside is lush with colorful murals giving a nice Jamaican vibe along with a handful of TV screens. They had a soccer game on loud enough to make conversation difficult with the staff. That probably isn't a problem unless you're having a detailed conversation like we were.I got the white meat j*** chicken meal and had enough food for two meals and I'm a big guy. The chicken was grilled in the outdoor smokers and was nicely flavorful as a result. The spicy sauce was not terribly spicy by Thai and Mexican standards but was nicely flavored for all that. Definitely hoosier level adjustments made there. The tables do have additional hot sauces for those (like me) who prefer more heat. The rice was plain steamed and the cabbage was also fairly plain with a bit of seasoning. Some vinegar-based sauce would help both. The meal also came with a few pieces of fried plantain and I have to agree with other comments that this item definitely needs help. It probably started out nicely crisp and possibly moist on the inside. But, like all but the meat, it was pulled from a steam tray and suffered badly as a result. It was gummy and yet oddly dry as well.I've seen this at other restaurants in town and it drags down the experience of the meal noticeably. If there's anything that can be done by the restaurant to address this, I highly recommend looking into it. Perhaps serve plantain chips instead or possibly do a finish cooking of partially cooked plantain right before serving.Given the total experience, I think 4 stars is reasonable. They've obviously put a lot of thought and effort into their environment and offerings and I'll look forward to trying other dishes they recommended as I have time.“
