Pleasant place to see a movie. I especially like the selection of films offered here, often ones that I don't find elsewhere. I've also enjoyed getting a bite to eat beforehand here.

This place was fantastic, my only complaint is that the light at the front should be on the stairs and not shining into the audiences face

An ideal movie-going experience for fans of independent, arthouse, and/or quality film. If you are a blockbuster mega-plex mainstream movie fan, this is not your theater— but it hopefully will become it as your tastes evolve. Cinefiles unite.

The pizza by the slice (King Dough) is wonderful and speedy— far exceeding what you’d expect from movie-theater pizza. The bar has solid selections, particularly with beer (beyond the typical mundane Midwest lite and tired IPA offerings). The only lack is in the concessions area — there is no bottled or canned water available to take into the theater. Very odd, and something that needs attention.

Every time I want to see a movie, they switch it last minute from their big screen to one of their tiny ones. Just overpriced and terrible. Indiana sadly has a long track record of being a terrible place for film.

It’s a beautiful theater, but more than that, everyone who works here loves film. You can have a conversation with anyone who works there about what you’re going to see, film industries and trends, film itself as a labor of love, you name it. This adds so much to the experience and is part of what makes this place special.

Can’t say enough about what this gem adds to the Indianapolis arts scene, let alone our neighborhood.

I love the kan kan. It's the perfect place. I go probably once a week. The movie selection? Amazing. The staff? Spectacular. The pizza? Delectable. 10/10 the perfect place for a date, friend trip, or solo adventure.

Non-profit, modern and artsy, independent and local, and very queer-friendly with queer events?! Wow, this is such a rare gem of Indianapolis! Also, so great and fun for other young adults and college students in Indianapolis. I went here to see the Heartland film fest short films with a date last night and it was amazing, loved the atmosphere. My only critique was the person at the front was very nonchalant and gave no directions on where to go so I had to ask. It is smaller but I was genuinely clueless since it was my first time. My experience was wonderful nonetheless and food was great with reasonable prices.

Best popcorn ever! Enjoyed evening with friends watching a classic thriller on Hallows Eve; Halloween

A beautiful and great movie experience tucked away in a vibrant corner near downtown. Their curated selection of films is a genuine asset that everyone in this city needs to experience.

This is might be my favorite theater in Indianapolis. The staff is always friendly, and they have a fun variety of local beer and canned cocktails that you don't find in many places. You also won't be gouged by the prices of their concessions like at other theaters. The space is very intimate, and they being back old classics throughout the year. Be sure to also check out some of their events featuring local artists and filmmakers. A true gem.

Fantastic little movie theater! The selection of films is amazing, the seats are comfortable and clean, and the popcorn is great!

My first time here (saw the new Frankenstein). Already making plans to make it a monthly visit. Perfect size theater, great selection of movies, and a bar and restaurant to top it off.

We saw Dear Rick, an amazing film. Great place to see a film.

The most unique and nicest movie theater in Indy! Comfortable seats with plenty of legroom, great visuals and crisp audio. They don’t rip you off at the concession stand, and the bar is fantastic. Our favorite place to see films!
