Drove 50 mins to meet family here for lunch just to get food poisoning! 4 people in the family said they became ill last night. Waitress was attentive but food quality was trash.

This is it! La Hacienda 12 is hands-down, one of the best traditional Mexican restaurants in this area, especially if you grew up in Southern California like I did. The tamales, whether made in house, or not, are a taste of the Pacific Coast Tijuana area like few other restaurants have pulled off. The Arroz Texicano, Do yourself a favor, try that! If appetite, meets flavor, meets value is for you, you’ve come to the right place. Cinco estrellas!

Super friendly staff, salsa was great, tortillas fresh, I got the Arroz con Pollo, it was a little plain (I like a little more spice and flavor) for my liking, but not bad at all.

Attempted to call at 9:15 for a to go order no one picked up so drove in and was advised kitchen was closed at 9:22. If you are going to close down early at least change your hours online or turn off your open sign. I understand it's taboo walking in right before close but 40-45 mins prior isn't bad for someone who worked in the restaurant industry and just wants to go.

I can't believe that this place is operating as a business. When I came there, I was not greeted or served anything to drink. My wife and I sat down for a very long time while others ate and drank. When I tried to talk to the waitress,the manager intervened, and asked us to leave without trying to make the situation right. I called the establishment after I left , and talked to the manager. He still didn't acknowledge that he had ruined our evening. I will never go back there or to any of its locations.
