Valentine's Day at White Castle is such a unique and wonderful experience. It also happens to be our anniversary :) My family has attended for several years and will continue to make Valentine's Day at White Castle an annual tradition. The staff at the West Washington White Castle were so attentive and sweet! They make the experience worthwhile to drive farther to dine at this location. They even remembered us from last year. We plan to make this our preferred location for our Valentine's Day/Anniversary family date!

I've never been one to put a business on blast on social media, or anywhere else for that matter. But, today something happened that I just can't let stand. My eldest son is on the spectrum. I take him to work and pick him up from the east side of Indy everyday. Today, traffic was awful... Worse than usual. So, we ended up taking city streets home and apparently everyone else had the same idea.
Long story short, we were running really late and I needed to pick up some food for my wife, who hadn't eaten. We like a little BK, so we decided to stop off at the BK on West Washington St. Because of the delay, my son was about to bust, so I dropped him off to use the restroom while I went through the drive thru, something we've done before. Btw, this was sometime between 4:40ish and 5:00 PM.
As he entered the store, a manager yelled at him that he had to buy something to use the restroom. My son told him that I was going through the drive thru and hurried into the restroom before there was a mess. The manager followed him into the restroom to yell at him again that he needed to buy something to use the restroom and that he had called the police. My son again told him that I was in the drive through. He left and joined me as I was waiting to get our food. After hearing what had happened, I circled around to talk to the manager.
I understand the need for security. I'm one of the pastors for an urban church with a preschool on the premises so I totally understand the need to watch who is on the premises. I also understand that my son is a bit scruffy looking. But, you don't treat people the way my son was treated. And, when I expressed my displeasure at his treatment, the manager, well, he wasn't receptive to my input.
There are ways to handle that situation and that wasn't it. Threatening someone who just needs to pee, especially when they've already told you that their parents were at the drive thru, with the police is unacceptable. And, with my son being on the spectrum, if the police had shown up, it could've ended horribly. All because of an unreasonable manager who refused to listen to someone that was suspicious to him. They will not be getting my business anymore...

From the decor to the staff, the entire experience was perfect. It's totally an experience we will encourage all to enjoy.....as we plan on this being our new tradition.

So I put in a simple reservation request for Valentines day reservation for our 8 year old son-who loves his White Castles. If he gets 100% on his spelling test he asks for White Castle for his treat. So we made a surprise date for the West Washington St White Castle and it blew him away. Everybody knew his name, we got the best table and had so so much fun. We even got to take a goldfish home to add to our lonely goldfish tank at home. At the end of our meal they presented him with a Valentine bag full of White Castle swag and a few more personal touches. Thank you so much west Washington White Castle for a wonderful dinner. That really made his day. And ours as well!

Valentines Day was great thanks to these ladies!! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. This was our 3rd year but our first trip to this location. We were impressed! Will definitely be joining you again next Valentines Day!! THANK YOU!!!

Great service & fantastic food! Our waitress even gave me a sample of the gravy so I could taste it before deciding whether I wanted the country gravy or the brown gravy.

I took my two boys for dinner on this Special Day. We never go out on Valentine's Day so I thought I would try it. We had a very nice evening we ate together had some nice conversations and just enjoyed being together as a family. I really enjoyed it and plan to do it again next year. Thank you for a very nice time.

This restaurant is exactly what it is....FAST food carryout, and not a restaurant for service. On this Valentine's Day, our server came over, took our drink orders, 10 minutes passed and she came back to take our orders, still with no drinks. When we got our food and she gave us the bills, they were all messed up with wrong items on each and not enough food on both. STILL no drinks. I ended up having to go to the counter, get bills straightened out, drinks, and reorder food.
Overall, it was a fun experience going to White Castle for Valentine's Day. However, it was clear that the staff had no idea how to be table-side servers (which is completely understandable). Perhaps for next Valentine's Day, the staff could be given a day of training on how to serve. Other than that, everything was fantastic!
