really good flavor and taste, portion and contents for poke bowls and sushi are great; slightly expensive if you want to try multiple items; located within garage food hall so plenty space

It's very hit or miss. I don't mind spending $15 on a sushi bowl if it is a hit but the last two times it's been poor. The second to last time I went, the employee struggled to get fried tofu on the POS system and I was unable to order online.
The same thing happened this time and I just went in to order. They had a 15 min wait on rice and the bowl was mostly mixed greens after I ordered. The fried tofu was basically the small cold crumbs left from other orders and there was not a full portion. There was barely any sauce.
When it's good it's good. When this place is not good they really really miss the mark and you're out $15 / bowl that is mostly mixed greens.

My son wanted something hearty. I wanted something light. So we went to the garage food hall. I decided to try Poke Guru. I barely interacted with an employee, except when they handed me my food. Orders are done on a large digital menu. If you're short like me, it can be hard to reach selections on the top of the screen, because the unit sits on a counter. I decided to make my own poke bowl. I can't eat gluten, so it was a fantastic surprise to not only see they list what sauces are gluten free, but also that they have a gf eel and teriyaki! I love eel sauce but never find it gf. The ingredients were all fresh. The salmon wasn't quite cut all the way through, the cubes were still connected. A sharper knife maybe? My only real problem was that I got the order to go, but there wasn't a lid for it.

The Sauce-kipade
Picture this: you’re sent to the store to gather the ingredients for a delicious salad. You come back with everything except the dressing. Is it still a salad? Technically, yes. Is it one you want to eat? Not unless you’re into damp disappointment and dry leaves.
That’s how my experience at Poke Guru felt—dry, underwhelming, and missing the magic: the sauce.
After a solid 5K run and feeling virtuous, I treated myself to a poke bowl loaded with all the fixings and even threw in a tip—despite it being a carryout order—because I believe in good karma. But once I met up with my friends and opened my bowl, it became clear: the sauce I’d ordered (and paid for) was missing.
No big deal—I politely went back to ask for it. What followed, however, was a case study in how not to handle customer service. One employee literally turned away mid-conversation, and the other (a young guy who seemed more focused on asserting dominance than helping) flatly told me I’d have to pay for it. No, “Oh shoot, did we forget that?” or “Let me check your order.” Just a cold, blunt response. I explained that I had indeed ordered sauce—and had tipped—and that I wasn’t trying to make a fuss, just wanted what I paid for.
Then came the cherry on top: he muttered under his breath, informed me they were out of the sauce I ordered (which explained the missing sauce), and with a smirk, turned away to work for on other orders for a few minutes, then, noticing I was still there, slapped a ladle of mayo-based something into a cup and slid it across the counter like I was asking for scraps.
At that point, I just wanted to leave with some semblance of dignity (and moisture for my arugula-fish-rice bowl), so I didn’t press further.
Mistakes happen. But the attitude, the lack of basic courtesy, and the general vibe? That’s what made this bowl hard to swallow. I rarely post negative reviews, but this one felt earned. If you roll the dice on this place, I hope they’re fully stocked and staffed by someone who at least pretends to like people.

SOOO GOOOD. Came first time today and loved it. My family is from a pacific island and we are serious about our poke - very hard to find decent poke in indianapolis. You can tell this place pays attention to the ingredients they use to build their bowls. Each individual ingredient from the pineapple and edamame to the wonton chips was FRESH made - no cans, no bags. Sauces were yum, AND they did the fish right !!!! The style i grew up with is big chunks of tuna - not tiny pieces like ground fish. Smiled as soon as i saw the bowl and ran to type my review while I eat. The worker that helped me was also super kind and allowed me to sub out something on my sichuan bowl. Chili oil was also sooooo good, worth the extra dollar ~
All in all, meitaki ranuinui 🙏🙏🙏 nave nave tikai te kai 🤤💗 (thank you, food was good!!)

Greeted with rudeness upon picking up my order. On top of that, my entire order was wrong. First time trying this place. Asked for extra tuna, did not get it. Asked for extra avocado, did not get it. Asked for sesame oil, did not get it. Asked for a fork, got chopsticks. These people are incompetent.

Won’t be ordering from here again. First time I ordered, the order was wrong. Just ordered again, giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking maybe they just messed up that once. But no. Everything in my order tonight was wrong and they missed several items. When I go to the pick up counter, they always act weird too, and just look at me like I’m an alien instead of greeting me and asking how they can help me. Horrible business.

Recommended dishes: The Original Poke Bowl
I wish I would have read the reviews before coming to this location. The person who was at the register and handed me my food was not friendly at all. Very short with responses to questions and never cracked a smile. I felt as if I was bothering her when I asked for simple requests like soy sauce or a lid. I did give her a tip when I paid with a credit card, but sure wish I could have changed the tip amount after her horrible attitude.
The poke bowl was just okay. Not the best flavor. I tried the teriyaki salmon bowl and it was pretty bland. I drove out of my way to get to this location, the parking is a pain when you are just wanting to run and get something for carry-out. It certainly isn't worth the effort for bad customer service and just okay food.

I love poke. Sadly it was not the place for me. The seaweed salad was good the avocado fresh, but the poke was plain with no seasoning or flavor. I paid extra for the hot oil and it was not able to turn around and add flavor here- just heat.

Ordered through Uber eats and I am from out of town so my tastes may not apply to the local population. I may have ordered a weird flavor profile based off assumptions made on the context of California poke shops hence the 2 stars instead of 1.
With that said, the biggest issue was that the salmon was so fishy I couldn't finish it. I ordered two bowls with their BOGO deal on uber so I order 4 different sauces (2 for each bowl) I thought they'd be on the bowl already but they were on the side so I'm not 100% sure which was which.
I ordered ponzu paradise and seoulful kick for the salmon bowl I ordered and miso sesame with Sichuan mayo for the fried tofu bowl. I was only able to discern the miso sesame sauce, which all the sauces were thicker than I'm used to for poke but this sauce was pretty tasty. The rest were so similar in flavor profile I really couldn't say. I think I was given a wrong sauce instead of the ponzu paradise cause none of them were giving ponzu.
If the sauces are made in house theyre made similar to American mayo or aoli cause they're more tangy\ sour than the mildly sweet and umami flavor you find in Japanese mayo which threw me off but like I said could be that it caters more to local taste buds.
Sushi rice was mushy and just white rice no rice seasoning.
Enjoyed the wasabi peas though it's not a common option for poke in California.

Got the spicy tuna and it has to be store bought canned tuna. Atrocious. Either they ran out and improvised or just don’t care. TERRIBLE.
