Is it still open? We went by there about 6.30/7pm today, 11/6, and it was closed. No lights and no cars.
11/10:Dear Friends,
This is not an easy thing for us to say but sadly it’s true. We have CLOSED our 96th St location permanently as of 11/3/2025. We apologize for not saying something sooner but legally we couldn’t. We really have no words but are just thankful for the people we got to meet and become friends with over these last 15+ years! So many people we wished we were able to say bye to in person but weren’t able to. We truly love everyone who gave us a chance to serve them and become a part of their dinner routine.❤️ Adrian will still be available for caterings so keep us in mind! This door maybe closing but hoping and praying another one will open. For now we say bye, and hope to see yall in the future.
-Linsey & Adrian

I had such a great experience at Red Habanero! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish had just the right amount of spice and seasoning, and you could really taste the quality ingredients. The service was quick and attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the team made us feel like valued guests. Red Habanero is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flavorful meal and excellent service.

Very tasty! The guac tasted fresh and the ceviche was yummy but a tad spicy. Would be great if they had a mocktail section on the menu or just more N/A options in general. I did like that they had a sangarita though :)

If you like below mediocre food, this is your place
Enchilada choices on the small July 2025 one page menu were just between chicken or beef. Disappointing experience.

We dined Monday evening and the food was delicious. If you are thinking Mexican Red Habanero should be your first choice.

The atmosphere is clean, modern, and welcoming. The food is absolutely amazing, and I truly appreciate the variety of unique meal options they offer—many of which I’ve never seen anywhere else. It’s refreshing to experience such creativity and quality in both the menu and the overall dining environment.

I was disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered carne asada tacos and the meat was rancid. Horrible. I couldn't eat it. Maybe it had been laying out too long or was just expired. I felt sick going home. More care needs to be taken with food storage. One day, someone is going to get really sick and it will ruin your business. Not going back.
