“We got it TO-Go This are first time trying it and I will say this was so Good 😊 yes cash only but he said there was a ATM in there Anyway let’s talk about this food. I got the fried chicken and smothered chicken yes I’m indecisive so I got both it came at four sides each and this cornbread was amazing 🥲 like cry cause imma so fat later. All of it was amazing I love the corn casserole 10/10 take my money !!! Also, I got dessert. I got a red velvet and a lemon cake Both was a hit absolutely amazing“

“It was my first time visiting the establishment. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. Our wait staff was so attentive and sweet. He made sure he secured the last sweet potato cheesecake since what I originally ordered was discontinued. Our order was taken right away snd it did not take long for our food to be delivered to our tsble. We were checked on throughout our meal. I ordered the tips which were well seasoned and tender, collard greens and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious . “Delicious food. We got 2 meals and everything was perfect. Every side was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It needed nothing added, and I usually add some kind of seasoning or sauce to everything I eat. You can tell it’s made with love 💕You might wait a little while to order if you don’t place your order online, because it’s very popular, but it’s well worth it! We will definitely be back!“

“While on a family trip to Indianapolis, some local friends brought me here and said it was the BEST fried fish in Indy. I was NOT disappointed. The ambiance is very casual and quaint. Really great service and the food is exceptional. We started with hush puppies and fried mushrooms and they were incredible. My main course was the Fried Perch Platter and it was beyond delicious. Seriously one of the best seafood plates I've ever tasted. I ended my visit with a slice of the strawberry cake and had to take a slice to go it was that great!!! Highly recommend this place!“

“On my way home saw the The Soul Food Shack sign. So I stopped in. Very clean professional looking establishment. A very friendly young lady came out to inquire how could she help. So very pleasant. I ordered the Smothered pork chops with collard greens and fried potatoes. Husband and I surely enjoyed this meal. Chops and greens were on point. Potatoes had a great flavor but just a little mushy. Whatever I was truly impressed.“
