My girlfriend and I stopped in for some drinks before a concert. The old fashioned’s are outstanding! The espresso martini was phenomenal as well. Teddy is the BEST bartender in the city.
Food was okay but over priced. Server was terrible. I doubt we return.
If you are in indi....you have to try this place. Great food.
Terrible experience. Took 30 minutes to even get a server to notice us in an almost empty restaurant. Once we got food four out of the five meals were cold, room temperature. They refused to split meals between two people even though we ordered 5 meals for five people. The manager offered to comp us 50%, then they comped 50% of two apps. We pointed this out and they comped a bit more but still not 50%. We gave up. Do not go here. Terrible service and cold food.
We stopped in for a nice lunch and were blown away...our server, Jeffrey, took amazing care of us including brewing fresh coffee for an iced coffee....that in itself was amazing. I had the Smash Burger, and my colleague had the Chicken Ceasar Salad and both were incredible....we both had fries and even they were AMAZING. They had so many great brunch items on the menu, so I plan to come back for those and all the other yummy things that were on their menu. Great job Spoke & Steel and thank you for the best service Jeffrey (I hope I got his name right)
Spoke and Steele is a great dinner choice! There is plenty of variety with their menu. The drinks were delish, my personal favorite is the Lavender and Lace! The charcuterie board and lamb sliders are fantastic choices for appetizers. I tried the short ribs and that was cooked perfect with the mashed potatoes and carrots. Definitely a great option for your dinner!
Absolutely delicious. Small serving size though. After a long workday, I left hungry.
The food was tasty and the drinks were sweet. Service was slow due to there only being one person working the Sunday afternoon shift, but he worked hard and made sure we felt listened to
They only had two people working. The bartender and server which was also seating tables. The only sever was also the hostess.Had to walk up to the bar to get our drinks because they were sitting there for 20 minutes. We informed them before we sat down we had a show to go to and had to be done with dinner in 1.5 hours... needless to say, we were late. Only good thing was the food... but not worrh the stress and poor service.
Nowhere does this say it's in the lobby of a hotel. We walked into an empty restaurant at 7 pm on a Saturday. We waited at the hostess stand and never saw one, and the bar had no bartender. We went to the front desk of the hotel and were like, We have reservations, and there is no one working in the restaurant. He said let me get someone, we are short-staffed. Assuming that meant a night of short staffing, we left. I have no idea how the food is because we didn't eat there. The place looked very cool, but I have no interest in a girls' night out at a hotel in Indianapolis. In a big city, this might be ok, but not in Indy.

Lauren was the greatest! Highly recommend and all the staff were great, but Lauren for sure stood out!
Definitely not my favorite restaurant in Indy. Best part was the martini. Wish they had blue cheese olives though. Not some place Od write home about or put on a list to visit again.
Was really excited to eat dinner here but we could not. So did a reservation that we thought was for dinner but was for only there appetizer menu and certain drinks. Another couple came in and overheard them confused as well why they made a reservation for dinner and it wasn't an option. Should really remove those times from OpenTable if unable to have dinner.
Ricardo the host was the best part of our visit. He made us feel like we had been there 100 times and took care of us like friends. The food was great, and the vibe was good. All staff were friendly.
The staff was fantastic, food was very good, the only downside was we waited what seemed like an extremely long time for food (40mins). It was a Friday night, really there wasn't that many tables eating. The Bourbon selection was very acceptable, even had the selection sorted by mashbills. We had a wonderful meal regardless of the wait, just slow down and enjoy your cocktails and your company. The experience will be worth it.
