Spoke & Steele has been one of my go to spots downtown for years, not just for one visit but every experience I’ve had there. You truly can’t go wrong with brunch or dinner and you have to try the calamari and shrimp appetizer.

The drinks are always on point, even their mocktails, and the service is consistently elite.
What makes the place special is the culture. They support local artists, host creative events, and I’ve even hosted multiple yoga experiences in the space which shows how welcoming and progressive the team is. Add in the history, the atmosphere, and an amazing staff and it’s a place I’ll always recommend.

Overall somewhat satisfied with my wife and I's experience at Spoke and Steele.

We made a reservation about a week in advance for Valentines Day- eve. We arrived to the restaurant around ten minutes prior to our reservation, and quickly sat. We walk to a table- a booth that normally houses two tables pushed together, with around two inches between tables. We were practically sitting on top of the other two individuals sitting at the table. Forgot conversation- we heard everything they said, they heard everything we said, might as well have been on a double date. They weren't short of two top tables either- there were at least two, two top tables that sat empty our entire dining experience.

Our server was on it throughout the night. The food was good to okay. We started with bread service. One piece of my bread was cold, and the other was warm. The honey miso butter was maybe a highlight of the whole meal. I started with a kale Caesar salad. Nice crunch to it, and an appropriate amount of dressing. My wife and I split two meals. The first- Coq Au Vin Pot pie. The meat was flavorful- but man, there is a lot of pastry when compared to meat. We got the braised short ribs. I wouldn't call the short ribs, short ribs- it was more of like a pot roast taste and consistency. There was a decent flavor, but nothing overtly amazing.

Our cocktails were strong, but nothing to write home about.

Overall, wouldn't be my first stop for a restaurant downtown, but if I was invited by someone else, I would most likely try it again.

If you're looking for an intimate setting for drinks and/or dinner with great service, then this is the perfect place! The food was good, however, some of the items on the menu weren't available due to high demand, but the chef was great and accommodating and ended up making an alternative option that wasn't on the menu, which was delicious!

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant! We visited late on a Thursday evening and practically had the whole place to ourselves. Though we initially thought they might be closed, the staff was so kind, warm, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was immaculate and the vibes were perfect. It felt like a private, 10/10 dining experience. Highly recommend.

Came here for breakfast before the big10 championship. My fiancé loved the breakfast tacos, said they were full over flavor and didn’t even require the salsa. The stuffed French toast was decent, not too sweet but wasn’t overly impressed. Overall a decent spot brunch.

Best place to eat in Indy!! Was in town for a conference- went to all the recommended restaurants and they were all terrible EXCEPT FOR SPOKE & STEELE which was amazing!!! Staff was awesome, food was INCREDIBLE, ambiance was perfect - this meal redeemed our entire experience in Indy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Slow hostess, but our waitress gave us great service. Food and ambiance were just okay. French onion soup was the best. Need to add a few other meats or fish to the menu. Play some nice music. Create a more fun and/or cozy vibe. The windows are great to make the place more special. Should have been decorated for Christmas too imo.

Excellent service. They went out of their way to please us. Be aware that if you make reservations for 11pm, the bar is only open.

We came in for an early lunch during a very busy week day downtown. The server was friendly and the food was delicious.

Food was very good. The service person was good and professional. The unfortunate problem was they were horribly understaffed. Our service person and bartender were the only people for a long time. They were working very hard but long delays.

Had an early Sunday brunch at Spoke and Steele, great location, great vibe. This restaurant is housed in the le Meridien hotel, small, sunlit space. Enjoyed great mimosa's! Ordered the Caesar salad and French onion soup, wife had the pear salad and soup. Soup was a bit on the thick side (w onions) but plenty of cheese! Great service, hotel pricing. Would return!
