While staying the area for business a few of us came here one evening for burgers…. Service was nice, the place was clean. Food was made fresh and hot pretty quickly and the burger tasted great. The fries were really good and so were the onion rings. Definitely worth stopping in for a burger and fries!

This steak and shake is the worst. I almost lost my DoorDash account because they tried to blame a late order on me. It was an event downtown with horrible traffic and when I got there they couldn’t even find my order. Acted like it was missed or not made until the guy just disappeared and I found another staff member who finally looked and found that it was there the whole time in the kitchen instead of the pick up area where it should have been. This is how I make money and they are trying to cover their tracks to save themselves. Never eating there or accepting orders for them again.

I have to admit it’s been a while since I have been here. Not sure when they switched to the kiosks, but I like it. I think it’s a smart move to evolve in this direction. Their hamburgers are always good. I am happy to see this location doing well.

Interesting setup at this Steak N Shake. It’s more of a grab and go experience, or you can sit down and eat there. You order via a kiosk and you wait to have your name called to grab your food. The staff is nice though. A barcode has to be scanned to get drinks from the machine which was interesting but there are homeless in the area, so that’s likely the reason.

Great place, clean, loads of seating, good food, friendly staff and clientele.
Returned for Indy after being away for 16 years and Steak 'n Shake didn't disappoint! We stopped for dessert - a big SHAKE.
Differences I noticed is like McDonald's, you order from a kiosk in the front as you walk in and then names are called for you to go up and get your food. We only ordered a strawberry shake which was amazing!
Extremely fast service. Smiling and pleasant staff providing excellent customer service.

Shakes were great but over priced. LOVE their FRIES! Frisco melt sandwich was to greasy & over sauced. Kids chicken fingers are very small.

So I was really excited to try Steak ‘n Shake, as there are none in NY. Mad disappointed. I mean,…. It wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t my expectation. Mad mid is what it was. Burger didn’t feel like it was seasoned. Mustard came out watery, maybe it was bc of the lettuce? I don’t know… it just was not at all what I hoped it would be and I’m a crazy fan of smashed burgers. And I also ordered a small chili bc I like chili and wanted to try. With a name that has ‘steak’ in it. I was thinking maybe the chili had some really good ground beef and some excellent seasoning. Nope. This chili was all beans. No meat all beans… I don’t know why my expectations were high for this. I just let myself down. In any case, it’s not the worst and far from the best.
