I love the Frisco Melt. The fries were hot and tasted good. I wanted to order onion rings, but they were out - would have been useful to know that when ordering at the kiosk. There's really no atmosphere there. It was freezing inside. And all the tables were dirty. Does anyone working there wipe them down?

A group of nine of us arrived at 9:30 last night (3-8-24)from a local conference going on. And ask if they were going to be open long enough for us to eat and was told YES and then 9:50 we received our food and then was told we needed to leave at 10 because they were closing.I thought they were joking and even said so to the waiter. He said I’m dead serious. He stated that Company policy requires everyone has to be out of the building at 10 o’clock I said then you should’ve closed at 9 o’clock and not let anyone else in. Not give your customers their food and then tell them in less than 10 minutes you’ve got to be gone. Never been treated like this before and I’m 64 years old will never come back to this Steak ‘n Shake. I’ve always been supportive of Steak ‘n Shake in a very good friend of a former vice president of Steak ‘n Shake. But it’s certainly not a way to treat a loyal customer

What happened to steak n shake. I remember getting a decent burger with amazing fries and a shake and the place feeling alive. Now it feels hallow and robotic. No servers anymore, a kiosk to order food, the milkshake no longer in a glass. The best way I can describe this experience was empty with no character.

I used to love going to steak 'n shake before the pandemic. But it just hasn't been the same since. No talking to a live person here. Very impersonal. The burger and fries were good. But I couldn't get a shake. The one reason I went, and couldn't get. Not sure why I couldn't. I'm not sure I'll be back. Except I do love those shakes.

I came in after ordering some shakes on the app. I stood there and waited for about 25 minutes, nobody asked me anything even though they saw me. Finally I had to raise my voice like a Karen and they grabbed them. They told me they were in the freezer for me this whole time. They need an alert system or some employees that provide better customer service and ask when they see someone standing around.

We were excited to have Steak n Shake again while traveling, all the ones near our house closed down.You order from a kiosk now, and the interface wasn't bad. No reason to pay for a drink, you can just help yourself. You would think since there aren't servers anymore that they would have time to clean the place up... nope. The place was filthy. I doubt it was just from that day. Where there wasn't trash on the floor, your feet stuck to it. It could not have been more than 60 degrees inside.The Frisco burger was OK, not like they used to be. My onion rings were a little on the soggy side and tasted like it was time to change the oil.I don't expect this one to be around much longer, either, unless something changes. I have said my goodbyes to Steak n Shake.

I ordered just a basic small cup of chili with cheese because Wendy's next door was out of chili. The chili was actually good and hot the cheese was an outstanding 99 cent extra and overall the small cup of chili cost more than Wendy's. The worst part was that the chili is literally beans and meat and that's it and taste like it is hot dog chili. It was a colder night and Wendy's ran out of chili by 7:00 p.m. otherwise no thanks I won't get it again

A very mixed experience. The food is fine and there are basically no customer facing employees. But the building is old and feels uncomfortable. Better to just grab it to go.
