It was an ok burger and fries. The strawberry shake was great, but overall the kiosk ordering feels impersonal and may be one of the first restaurants I would expect to go fully automated someday. The lady who called my name for my order at least said enjoy and walked away as I was coming over to get it. Thanks
I went to the drive through because I was craving a Frisco melt. Chelsa, who I think is also the manager on duety, informed me that there would be a long wait because the fryers were down and they were working to get then reset.
I decided to wait because 1. I'm not in a hurry and 2. You cant get a Frisco melt anywhere else.
Chelsa was very polite and accommodating with my order.

Steak 'n Shake offers a mixed dining experience. While some customers appreciate the quick service and delicious food, others are disappointed with the new self-service model and limited staff. The menu features a range of options, including the Sreak Burger with cheese, which comes automatically dressed with ketchup, onion, and pickle. The Chicken Tenders remain a fan favorite, and the chocolate shakes are a sweet treat. Despite some staffing challenges, Steak 'n Shake is still a decent choice for a quick bite. The restaurant receives praise for great customer service, with workers described as very nice and respectful. The food is consistently cooked well, and customers appreciate the cleanliness of the store, although the restroom may need more attention. Parking is plentiful, even during busy hours. Overall, Steak 'n Shake provides a satisfactory dining experience for those seeking a quick and tasty meal.
