Tea’s Me Café at Tarkington Park is one of my favorite community spots in the city. The location inside the park makes it a perfect place to grab lunch, connect with neighbors, or just take a break. The space is fun, artful, and thoughtfully designed for community use—it regularly hosts meetings, events, and can even be rented after hours.
The café reflects everything I admire about Tamika Catchings. Her personality, passion, and humility are everywhere in this place. You might even see her behind the counter or chatting with guests—she truly leads by example.
The menu is small but has great healthy and vegan-friendly options. I had the Chicken, Bacon & Ranch sandwich with a spinach salad—really good! I’ll be back to try the carrot cake I keep hearing about.
I work at the MLK Center just across the street, so my team and I stop by often. We’ve been lucky to collaborate with Tamika over the years, and I’ve been a fan of hers since her WNBA days. Tea’s Me is more than a café—it’s a true part of the community.

Tea's Me is my absolute favorite tea store and café! The variety of loose leaf tea is outstanding, and the food, including the carrot cake and blueberry coffee cake, is delicious. The atmosphere of the café is laid back and quiet enough for work, study, or conversations. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My most favorite tea is Japanese cherry with light honey, but for tea lovers, all of their teas and tea combinations are magical, hot, or iced.

I had the pleasure of trying the oolong mango tea, and it was absolutely delightful! The flavor was vibrant and refreshing. As for the sandwich, it was decent, but the sausage was disappointingly thin and a bit too crunchy for my liking. Overall, a mixed experience, but the tea definitely stole the show!

I was greeted when I walked in. My food was made to order. I ordered the vegan basil grilled cheese.

The girl working just sat on her phone ignoring me when I asked for help. Also had a rude attitude for no reason. I’m a service worker too so I’m always extra nice to people working. The food was bad as well. Tasted like it had been sitting out hours before serving. I regret coming here

Terrible service and food. There was mold in my fruit and the girl behind the counter didn’t even try to give me a refund

Great place to stop for breakfast or Lunch. I love the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich on a croissant with cheese and the mixed berry smoothie, I love the atmosphere and the employees are always welcoming. They have a book club, you can rent the space, and Tarkington Park is surrounded , just check it out here! Thanks Tamika Catchings for bringing this to our neighborhood.

When I went to order I asked about gluten in the soup. The girl behind the counter didn't know and refused to check. Our group of 6 waited over an hour for our sandwiches. When they arrived they were awful. My fruit cup consisted of 2 strawberries, 4 blueberries and 2 grapes. After I tasted a grape that was spoiled I didn't eat anymore. I will never go back.

We met friends for a walk around the park and an iced drink. MANY tea options, delightful staff, and a nice shaded area out front with tables and chairs. We'll definitely stop there again.
Popular neighborhood coffee shop, NOT one of the ubiquitous corporate salt mines.
Parking: If the parking lot behind business is full, there is usually parking on the surrounding streets.

The tea was ok, but the sandwiches were very disappointing and not worth the price at all. We got the iced bergamont cream tea, iced mango oolong, tomato treat, and grilled cheese to go. The grilled cheese was just one slice of unmelted cheese on barely toasted bread. The tomato treat, had spinach instead of basil and lettuce, with unripe tomatoes. I wouldn’t recommend the tea but nothing was wrong with it. While we were there another costumer came in for a smoothie but they were out of everything except for blueberries and bananas.
