Cute local diner! Yummy milkshake selection. Waitresses were wonderful and food came out very fast. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. Filled with lots of locals which tells you how wonderful it is!

My fiancé and I stopped in this morning to grab some food and had a pretty rough experience. I really don’t write reviews but I saw a couple things I feel like people need to be aware about -
1.) It is self seating so I do recommend either sitting by the bar or near the front so that you don’t get missed - we sat for over 20 minutes before we received our menus.
2.) Overall dirty/messy atmosphere. Sticky menus and tables, dirty plates and dishes everywhere. There were even customers picking up their own plates and putting them into the dishwashing cart.
3.) The only waitress on staff (we know this because she loudly complained about it to her customers) was eating while on shift. I understand like work leniency but cmon…..what?
4.) After still not receiving service after 30 minutes we got up and left. The waitress even acknowledged she had forgotten our drinks, but continued packing orders and talking with what I assume are the regulars.
Again, I’m not one to write reviews, but when do we hold professionalism to a higher standard? The entire staff seemed extremely friendly and kind, but just as if there was no effort or care put into the work they do. There are several breakfast spots in Kokomo that are worth visiting, unfortunately Mega J’s would not be one of them.

The staff is super nice and wonderful and the food was pretty decent. However, I was completely shocked when I found out it was $40 total for 2 tenderloin, fries, a tea, and a soda! That is absolutely crazy to me! I had my boyfriend take me there because I told him it was an affordable lunch. I felt really bad when that was not the case. He didn't seem to mind but I would've had him take me to Roadhouse or something for that price.

My favorite thing about Mega J's is the nostalgia. I walk in and am surrounded by coca cola just like my restaurant. Ducky's growing up. These guys know how to cook!!!!!!! My boys mow down on the farmers skillets. Literally will have 2 at a time. They always make the eggs exactly how you asked for them. The service is friendly and fast and efficient. I feel like I'm eating at my Gramma's every time. I absolutely love this place. And now that Missy's is closed down downtown, we will be frequenting Mega J's even more!!!!

We just stumbled upon this restaurant and wow what a great surprise! I had the smothered chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken breast was very tender and not dry at all. The husband had eggs and burgers the eggs were cooked perfectly! Definitely recommended this restaurant
