Bistro 501 Reviews
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant — it’s truly one of my favorite places to eat, no matter the time of day. I’ve dined here for brunch, lunch, and dinner more times than I can count, and every experience has been consistently wonderful.
The food is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor with a seasonal change that welcomes new and exciting options. Whether I’m enjoying a hearty brunch, a light lunch, or a relaxing dinner, every...read full review
Today was my birthday. My husband surprised me with dinner at 501. Our past experiences have been excellent. Tonight, 4 mistakes were made. The bartender claimed to know how to open wine and present. From the moment Mary greeted us at the door, I knew that my family was going to be treated to wonderful hospitality. The food was excellent, fresh and made with care. I am very grateful to have stumbled on this place while driving through town.

Bistro 501 is a popular local restaurant that offers a delightful brunch experience, especially on Sundays. The specials are often praised for their creativity, with the empanadas being a standout dish. Guests enjoy a cozy atmosphere for date nights, where they can savor a variety of dishes, including marrow bones, risotto, and the signature sticky toffee carrot cake. The recently reintroduced lunch menu features favorites like the smoked salmon crepe, enhanced by decadent caviar. While the service is generally good, the interior could use some updating, as it appears to have been remodeled in the late 1990s. The friendly staff, including standout team member Mary, contributes to the warm hospitality that guests appreciate. Although the blackened burger may not have been to everyone's taste, the creme brulee and drinks received high praise. Overall, Bistro 501 offers a mix of creative cuisine, friendly service, and a comfortable ambiance, making it a favorite in Lafayette.
