Favorite place to eat in Madison!
Peach - pineapple twist waffle cone
Lots of ice cream flavors and toppings
Brought me back to back n the day!!
They have chocolate softserve ice cream, my favorite.
Huge menu with tons of choices! I had never tried a peach shortcake before, and it was delicious. Plenty of places to sit along the beautiful river. This place was hopping on a Saturday but it was worth the wait!
Oh wow. So good and definitely get your money's worth. Huge bag of fries!!!!
who wants a whole wheat soft pretzel I've never not eaten a soft pretzel before but that was gross
The Johnny burgers are bussin
Beautiful view, good treats. Not the place to go if you want cheap ice cream.
Had a Reese's brain freeze. It was good with plenty of Reese's mix ins.

Along the picturesque Riverwalk in Madison, Indiana lies a retro ‘50s ice cream stand called Chillbilly Treats.
They have a small menu of classics like double decker burgers, cheese fries, and soft serve ice cream. It is walk-up service, and there are tables scattered around for customers to enjoy their treats overlooking the Ohio River.
We stopped by in the middle of our day for a little ice cream snack. The kids enjoyed a root beer float, pineapple soft serve, and a new cherry dipped cone that matched my wife’s nail polish. 💅
It was a quick visit, but just what we needed to cool down between shopping and dinner.
When we visit Madison - Chillbilly Treats is always on the list! Nothing better than enjoying your great treats while people and boat watching on the river walk!
I ordered an Oreo Brain freeze and I wanted caramel, sprinkles, and cookie dough added to it. I understand that, it’s kind of a tricky order. I get that. So I go up to the front when I receive my ice cream because it was wrong. Supposedly it wasn’t rang up that way on the ticket which is totally fine. No problem. I would’ve paid for the extras, and I told her that. The older lady proceeded to basically argue with me about my ticket instead of just saying okay and fixing the problem. Being from Indianapolis I’m kind of use to customer service workers being rude but definitely did not expect that from any establishment in Madison, IN.
Love the name, the atmosphere is a fun vintage vibe.. old music from times past played with cool classic cars driving down the river it was great. Friendly staff, quick service and the milkshakes were delicious. The location of the place is absolutely perfection. Sitting and watching boats go down the river as we ate.
Called the cops on my family for eating pizza at the picnic tables. Place is closed for the season.
