Long time favorite! We dine here as often as possible. The owner and the staff are amazing. Sit outside on the patio, watch sports in the bar, or eat in the dining room. Food and Drinks are always delicious! The private room is a great place for a party or meeting. LOVE this place!
This pepes is more of a bar scene than a restaurant these days. If you like that, you'll make some friends, but I was there for the food, and for the first time in decades. Very different place. My food was good, that of my friend was not, and also not what he ordered. The price was good too. If you're looking for a real pepes experience, try a different one.
If you come here expecting every dish to be a flavor sensation, first realize that this place was one of the few affordable Mexi restaurants in the Merrillville area back when it was on the northeast corner and owned by the Espinozas. It's not the best food and drink but it's cheap and helps out all the struggling families and broke college students, so before you slam it with a 1 star review maybe adjust your standards accordingly.
