Das Dutchman Essenhaus Reviews
We only tried their bakery and it is nothing short of amazing...literally everything we tasted out of this bakery was not only delicious & fresh but it's as if effort was a flavor in every bite. I don't know how else to describe how unbelievably good it is. It's so good that even a flavor you dislike would taste good. If I'm ever back in Indiana, this will be one of the reasons why.
Just not as good as it used to be. Roast beef was burned and salty. Beef and noodles were pasty. The chicken, mashed potatoes and chicken noodles were good. But it seems like everything (including the salad) is made to fill you up fast. Difficult to feel like you got your money's worth on a buffet. I miss the days of the family style dinner when they brought bowls of food to your table.
Walked into where it said menu dinning asked to be seated in the menu dining part made zero mention if we wanted bfast or lunch the rude old lady manager informed me that bfast was over at 11 we was there at 10:45am and refused to seat us that's fine I can spend my money somewhere else. To think I grew up with the Miller's I haven't been here in an long time I won't be back. I'm glad I wasted my time and effort from Goshen, In

Das Dutchman Essenhaus is a charming and welcoming restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. With a large seating area and a delectable buffet selection, the restaurant serves comforting and delicious meals, including classic American dishes like beef over noodles and a strawberry poppy seed salad. The friendly staff ensures a pleasant visit, and many visitors enjoy the all-you-can-eat Amish buffet, which features fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and homemade noodles, often described as perfect, creamy, and heavenly.
The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, like visiting grandma's house, but with professional cooks and a gift shop that invites browsing with pastries, home décor, and gifts. The bakery offers sweets that are hard to resist. Whether dining from the hot bar or ordering from the menu, the experience is consistently great, and many recommend trying the Meatloaf and Potatoes dish.
Visitors appreciate the laid-back vibe and often enjoy a stroll around the grounds by the little lake, spotting fish and turtles. The place has a country farm feel, making it a recommended stop for those in the area. Visitors leave full, happy, and often with a blueberry pie to take home, enjoying the charming ambiance and tasty meals.
