Food was custom prepared to individual requests, cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The Chef was entertaining, funny and kind to my little ones. Atmosphere is a little smokey be prepared to smell like the food you eat. Otherwise so worth it and would highly recommend. Even on a Tuesday this place was packed a reservation is recommend.

First time!!!! I was absolutely in Awwwww!!!! 28 years in the Michigan area, never gave a thought to enter, thanks to my Daughter...I had the most awesome experience ❤️
Update April 2026: There is a super bad Hostess greeting people there now. I actually had words with her entering and exiting the restaurant. We will not be going back unfortunately until she either quits or is let go. The Servers and Chef were awesome as usual but that Hostess ruined our night.... and I have been going there periodically for 30 + years!! The Chef actually told us there have been other complaints about this individual. Been going here for years! Best egg sauce we've ever had! We will miss Hana Yori!

One of the chefs rushed through our dinner service due to small kids being present - rude! I didn’t realize we would be separated for a large party of 11, which wasn’t ideal.
The chef at our table was funny and much more engaging. The food was delicious.
The servers were helpful. But overall it wasn’t the elevated experience I was expecting.

Had a 7pm reservation for 7 people. 740pm, still haven’t been greeted by our server. No drinks etc. There were 3 other tables being seen, different people (servers) clearing their tables and checking on them. I’ve never felt so ignored in my life! Especially for a place with a reservation. So I get up and tell a random server I felt like my table is being ignored. A 40 minute wait when you have a reservation is beyond ridiculous. I still feel like we were purposely ignored. I’m not gonna say because of tattoos, or a table that had multiple races at. But it makes you wonder. The manager blamed it on the server cause she was “new”. Who was rude as hell as well. Got our drinks taken off a $250 bill.
