10 Best American Restaurants in Monticello

“I tried to handle this privately with an email to the company but over a week without a response I decided to leave it here as a review. We stopped in for our 1st time on Saturday for a late lunch – in between the lunch and dinner guests. The food was delicious! The service however wasn't so great. Our waitress took forever to come & get our drink order (another table came in a few minutes after us and had their drinks before our waitress even got to our table). When we asked for the soup of the day she didn't know and would check and get back to us. The menu, which she said “is a new menu” didn't specify the entrée meals for 2 sides vs other options, which we found some came with only 1 side, sandwiches only come with house chips and pasta came with soup and/or salad. If you look entree up it is “main course” so since the menu didn't tell us – the sandwhich was our “main” course they thought they'd get 2 sides also. This is when the waitress went thru every section of the menu to tell us what it came with. Then we asked the difference between grilled and fried. (Fried is normally referred to as cooked in oil on the stove top) … she finally told us it was “breaded of course” and then with a look of like, 'duh what else would it be'. She got huffy (really, kind of rude) about answering our questions and answered them like we were dumb. We were also seated as far away from the outside door as we could have been and she had us and the outside, where she stayed most of the time. Another waitress brought our food. Then we had to go ask another waitress for a refill and to go containers. Our waitress came back in, in time to give us our bill. She got a good tip – hope she shared! We would try it again but I probably wouldn't want the same waitress.“

“I love this place! The owner is so sweet! The food is really good and the wings are cooked perfectly! And I love how there is a great atmosphere the cooks are so fast with the food! And they cook perfectly! If I was you I would go there every day and night. The employees are so sweet. And the cooks some how are great my family and me love this place. And if I could I would give it 6 stars!“

“I ordered the Stuffed Peppers with Cuban bread (carry out) and it was absolutely fantastic! If you haven’t tried them, you should. Ashlie, Autumn, Brit D, Brit M, and the other staff are phenomenal. 10/10 recommend!“

“great place for the family to stop in an eat! everything we ate was fantastic and tons of food for the price ! loved the onion strings and burger was huge and made to perfection ! deff will be back ! my 8 yr old loved the atmosphere and our server was very nice 👍“

“Had the fire oven pizza for the first time today Anglers you did not disappoint. Monticello needed a good pizza place and they finally got one. I definitely recommend you go and try their fire oven Pizza.❤️😁“
