They had a new a la carte menu this year for our annual October trip. (Vs the old buffet ordering style)
The food quality has gone up and we actually ate here twice because of it!
The corned beef was impressively good, breakfast potatoes are delicious, and the sweet potato pancakes are obviously a must. You will not regret it!
My favorite restaurant in Nashville. Love the breakfast! Great service employees are so nice
My sister in law and I visit the artist colony 2-3 times a year just to have lunch. BEST SUN FRIES EVER and their dipping sauce is AMAZING!!!! The waitresses are ALWAYS friendly!!!! I will always give a 10 out of 10!!!! You can even purchase their dipping sauce that they use for their sun fries!!!!! Their menu has changed and some of my favorite meals are no longer served. I was bummed out a bit but still great food!!!!!
I don't like to leave bad reviews, but my experience was very poor. My son was served cold food, so cold that He didn't eat it for fear of food poisoning. Several others in our party also recieved cold food, mashed potatoes that were basically congealed, cold meatloaf, my burger was warm but not hot, my fries were cold. There were numerous other issues, too many to mention. This used to be a decent place, but the food quality is no longer any good. I will not return.
Awesome spot, perfect place to stay for getting a good look at nashville, we had a cozy quaint little room themed for George La Chace a founding brown county painter, I loved learning about him that night while snuggled up to my beautiful girlfriend on the 3rd floor! Amazing water pressure in the bathrooms, great soft water, and excellent climate control for the room. The dining downstairs was excellent for breakfast, a perfect little respite from the woes of the world.
Beware: fan favorite buffet is gone and prices are outrageous. Food is still good. Memories here, unfortunately, will be distant ones.
For almost twenty years this has been our go to restaurant when we visit Nashville. Yesterday we were surprised by the menu changes. They’ve dropped a lot of what made them a cozy home cooked atmosphere. The selection is minimal, the prices very high, and the food just okay. We will miss the old Artist Colony. Our search is on for our new go to place.
We spent 3 days in this beautiful town and ate at every so called hot spot, this was the only place I would recommend!
Unfortunately, my otherwise pleasant visit to Nashville was ruined with a parking ticket for parking more than 18 inches away from a curb - on a residential side street, in a cramped, parallel spot about 1.5 cars long. A very minor, unintentional infraction that in no way interfered with the flow of traffic. A quick money grab on unsuspecting tourists. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this city or any of its businesses.
Update: no misunderstanding. I don’t recommend anyone visit this city or its businesses and would strongly suggest that perhaps the local businesses consider contacting the local city council or police force and letting them know that predatory practices like this have consequences. I have no vested interest in contacting the police - I was left with no choice but to pay the fine and then do my civic duty to warn other potential victims to stay away. But you, as business owners, may have an interest in protecting future visitors from such predatory practices and should, therefore, be encouraged to reach out to the local authorities. I will never return and have no reason to contact them. It is you who might be impacted, not me.
Nice rooms, great restaurant. Bring back free breakfast with overnight stay.

Food was good until I found a hair in my plate. They said it was probably mine and took only my coffee off my ticket🤔 not cool
Our room at the Inn was small but clean and comfortable. Our meals at the restaurant were outstanding and the service throughout was excellent. The food is so well prepared and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Emily, our server today, gets 6 stars!
Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Must have been an off day, because the service was poor, waitress was rude, and the food was terrible, baked potato hard and cold, my chicken was tough. My daughter and I ate very little of our meal. Waitress didn't even question how our food was was just removed our almost full plates. I noticed a lot of customers left large amounts of uneaten food. Won't return.
First time visiting Nashville & staying in an older hotel like this. Location is absolutely perfect for being right near everything! Parking in the lot behind, make sure you go inside and get the parking tag before paying the $15 that I did, but we did get there at 8 am and walked all over town before checking in at 4pm. It is an older building, the rooms do show the age and the walls are thin so you'll hear everything!!! Wish they would've had a mini fridge for the leftovers we had to toss. The bed was pretty comfortable and everything appeared pretty clean for the most part. Price was high but I did book last second as we just wanted to explore a new place so if you book ahead it is a little cheaper. Would stay here again if we visit.
Best fish sandwich i ever had and the fried biscuits are wonderful
