Hard Truth Tours and Tastings Center

The Get Lost ATV tour was an absolute blast!! We had Kyle and Shari as our tour guides and we couldn’t recommend them more!!! Both were so knowledgeable about the distilling process and history of the area.. had great personalities and made the day so much fun. We loved it so much, we got back and then immediately booked the Tiki Cruise with Captain Kyle! Headed out onto the pontoon with some piña coladas and continued our adventure! We got back to dry land and ate dinner at the restaurant on property… delicious! An awesome place to spend the day….. Quaff on!!!!!

Big Woods is really changing Nashville and I believe for the better. Hard Truth is a great addition to the Big Woods family business. There are many reasons to go: festivals, concerts, party, or just for a damn good meal. When you pull up to Hard Truth it seems like you must be pulling up to some sort of fancy resort but don’t worry you’re in the right spot. They have indoor/outdoor eating areas both of which are pleasant. The outdoor might inch out in the favor department only because you get to look at the beautiful woods- it’s especially nice when the weather is a bit crisp outside (they have heat lamps that do a great job of keeping you toasty) The beer/vodka tour is interesting and worth the $ as you get to sample all the liquor at the end. The wait staff has always been pleasant and you WILL have a wait time to sit because it’s a pretty popular place. All the food is good and I especially love the pulled pork nachos.

Update: I went in the Get Lost Tour and it was very fun. Our tour guide, Kathy, was fun, energetic, and knowledgeable.

Shari and Craig were the best tour guides EVER!!! Highly recommend this tour! You won’t regret it!!

My fiancé booked me a trip on the tiki cruise for my birthday. Her being allergic to pineapple might have been problematic since she couldn’t have the same drinks as us. However our bartender, Kelsey, accommodated to this and made her 2 pineapple free drinks and still kept serving me and the rest of the group wonderful pineapple drinks. Kelsey did a great job ant avoiding cross contamination while making all of these different drinks too. Absolutely wonderful service and wonderful drinks. Their distillery and restaurant has now become our #1 favorite place to go to in brown county.

This 2 stars is for the Haunted ATV ride. It was utterly disappointing. We have done the regular ATV ride during the day and it was great. We were so excited to bring friends this time for the Haunted ride and it was sad. We stopped the first time at a cabin and were told to go in. Someone banged on the windows then we got back on the ATV to go to a small bar that’s setup outside to have a shot of “zombie juice” where a couple of zombies ran towards us. We got back on and then that was it! We were given a drink ticket from our driver who said it was for any cocktail. We go inside and the waiter says that it’s for a certain drink only and she’s closing down the bar, so she won’t make anything else. $45 per person for a maybe 20 min ride after we started 17 minutes later. Again, this is just for the Haunted ATV ride. The food and regular cocktails earn at least 4 stars.

First I called over a dozen times and never got an answer, just sent to a voice mailbox that was full. When I left 2 messages at the group mailbox none where returned. The website has hours to 8 pm. We got there at about 6:45 and the lights were off and the sign in the window said open until 6 pm Sun-Thur. What a letdown after driving do almost 2 hours. If there was going to be a next time I would know to get there earlier. I did not sign up for a tour on the website as I have seen a few distilleries an all have been similar, so no need to see another.I will say the poorest customer service I and hitting it quite some time. On the web hard truth is listed as a tourist vattraction, how true. Distillery was not used and now I know why. Very disappointed.

Let me start off by saying the grounds are beautiful and the beer is pretty good. My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner because we had ate there before and it was good. This time the service was SUPER slow and the food was sub par. We ordered beers as soon as our waitress came and we pretty much go with food. We thought we were going to have to walk to the bar and get them ourselves. My food was wrong and when I asked for the sauce on the side they didn’t even give it to me and no sauerkraut on my sandwich. The waitress went back and got it but it was the wrong sauce. Instead of waiting 20 minutes for her return I went to the kitchen myself and got the sauce which was wrong again. I was told the sauce that was supposed to be on the sandwich (brisket Rueben with an apricot sauce) they didn’t have. I was not told that when I ordered it and they didn’t even try to fix it. I emailed and sent them a message on Facebook and was told it would be sent to management. I have given them several days to respond and they haven’t. Not happy and will not go there again. Really sad because we had such a good experience the first time we ate there.

Absolutely the best all around fun time. All the tours, tasting, restaurant and music are fantastic.
