We love Sugar Creek! Chris and the crew are always friendly and willing to help anyone. Whether you are just looking for a tasty meal, need catering for an event or just need a quick bottle of bbq sauce, this is where you need to go in Nashville.
I don't usually share negative reviews, but today was different. I'm a local and have visited on multiple occasions, I wouldn't say the food was spectacular but today was just atrocious. It's a holiday weekend. Saturday before noon, food should be fresh..it was not. The brisket was shredded into chunks. Dry yet greasy (how does that even happen?) The meat was barely warm and the greenbeans as well. After a couple bites and trying to make it edible, I asked the waitress if the brisket was normal? In the past it had been sliced. She stated when the brisket gets low and unable to slice the cook just shreds the rest. I understand the situation, but this did not taste right. Also how was the brisket so low when they had just opened. We let our server know the food was unedible. She apologized but did not offer any kind of discount. A couple hours later my partner and I both got sickly. Why was the brisket so low at opening?
Why did we get sick shortly after?
As a local I'd love an explanation from the owner.
I wanted brisket but they were out and they suggested burnt ends, never again they were 98% fat and gristle (nothing like brisket at all). I got baked beans and they were the only thing that was good. I got it to go and I asked if it included bbq sauce and the lady said oh yes it is in there in a small container, get home and NO SAUCE. Will never waste my money or time again by going back. I should have driven to McCordsville and ate at Trax it is by far better
Excellent Restaurant! The food was delicious and large portions - I had the pulled pork, fries, onion rings and cornbread. The service was really good, fast and friendly. Probably the best BBQ place I've been to. Highly recommend!
The food here is fantastic
Great BBQ restaurant located near the Brown County Music Center. Great selection of barbecued meats, including ribs, pork, chicken and sausage. Lots of selection and generous portions. I had the two meat selection and the loaded french fries which were awesome. My friends also had sampler platters, and we all commented that we would come back to this restaurant in the future. Highly recommended.
Service was excellent. The atmosphere was a cute restaurant that was small enough to feel homey but not too small to feel cramped.
Food was good. My kids loved the dirty fries. It was a good place to stop on our vacation to try something we don't normally eat. My picky eaters did enjoy the chicken tenders.
Great location and atmosphere. The food was good could have rendered the brisket a little more. The smash burger is the clear winner from our order!
Great service, they handled our large group really well, all the orders came out correctly. Pulled pork was great, good Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, great dirty fries. Highly recommend in the area.

place is often closed and they don't list their hours on facebook or on their voicemail. also I agree with another that there is at least one very rude person who works there. got upset and mouthy at my 80+ year old mom for asking for a napkin and/silverware. food can be good; just can't ever get there when they are actually open.

My wife and I, on occasion, visit Brown County Indiana, and this time around, we stayed close to a restaurant with the best barbecue that you'll find anywhere!! Pulled pork sandwiches the first night, and they were so good we returned the next evening for the ribs, which were fantastic!!! Carrie, our server, did a great job and was very friendly and professional!! Next time in Brown County, we will come back to this restaurant again!!

Sugar Creek gives you combo options like no other, with not a single thing on the menu not worth trying. The people are friendly and welcoming to ensure you leave with a full belly and a smile. Also, HUGE supporters of military, police and first responders. Thank you Sugar Creek!
