The Chocolate Moose is a locally owned and operated ice cream shop that sells much more than ice cream. The ice cream is homemade with about 16 different flavors. Portions are huge with a small giving you 2 big scoops. I had the Brown County Coffee small cone. The ice cream was sweet and delicious. There was so much ice cream that I couldn't eat it all! Our server was friendly and accommodating. He provided a cup for my granddaughter so she could manage the huge cone. They also serve sandwiches and hot dogs. The all beef hot dogs looked great. They make a variety of specialty coffees, smoothies and teas. Those looked great and I will try next visit. They have a small dining room with tables and sofas and an outdoor patio area with picnic tables. The location in Nashville attracts tourists visiting the historic artist town. They also sell locally roasted Brown County Coffee by the bag. There were about 8 or so different flavors.

This is one of the places that you don't want to overlook. And they have more than just ice cream... highly suggest stopping by.....I had a butterscotch, blueberry malt...my own creation....and absolutely outstanding.

Would not recommendWe waited 45 minutes in line and 20 minutes watching for 2 coffees, It was crowded I will say but there were 11+ employees after. There was barely any milk in my coffee and when I returned it for them to add more milk the lady responded with “is that enough milk for you?” In a rude tone. I returned to my car and took a sip of the coffee and instantly spat it out, the milk was sour and walked back in just wanting my money back. Terrible experience would not recommend

I don't drink coffee, but my parents liked their coffee. The ice cream was good, but the hot chocolate was really watery. Do not get the hot chocolate unless you have your own packet to mix it in with the drink. Very sad about the hot chocolate, but good ice cream. Also my waffle cone on my ice cream was EXTREMLY stale.Parking: It has about 20-30 spots for parking.Kid-friendliness: They have a claw machine so you spend even more money on your child.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessible buildings.

We were there last Sat evening after enjoying a day downtown. I had 2 scoops; cinnamon & cookie dough. Steve had the Turtle. We both loved our selections. Highly recommend.
They advertise that they are open till 10 and there are clearly people still inside. We pulled up at 9:10 pm on our way through. Either sitting inside on their phone or just walking around. The only reason I give a 2 star is I have had their ice cream and it’s decent. Nothing to write home about but not bad either. Disappointed in the service however.
