Hands down the best place in the Ville

The prices are not equal to the quality of the food.

Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere and great food and drinks, well worth the price. Visiting from Texas and would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely amazing experience. The Chop House has been on our list of restaurants to try in Nashville and I'm glad we did. The atmosphere is a bit interesting being in the upstairs of the hotel, but they are doing the most they can with the space. The food was incredible. My wife and I got the wagyu steak and burger. I normally don't like char on my steak, but the seasoning of the meat made it delicious. The quality of the meat too was incredible. Competitive pricing for the quality of food you receive. I do wish the entrees came with sides. Family friendly environment. Seeing the owner getting to interact with his customers was great too. Will definitely be returning.

$50–100 Disappointed and Underwhelmed – Not Worth the Price! In honor of my daughter's college graduation, we wanted to enjoy a nice meal with our family of seven. We had a late reservation (all that was available, at 8:30pm, and only 3 or 4 other tables had guests at that time). The hotel in which the restaurant is located is quite run-down and in need of a facelift, and the Chop House, located in a one room area that also has a 70's nostalgia feel, also does not present itself as a fine dining experience. The restaurant clearly wants to present itself as a "nice" steakhouse, but the execution missed the mark in several ways. First, at this pricepoint, we expected a lovely table and seating, not cheap tables and chairs with old oak trim and ceiling fans more suited to a bedroom apartment. More importantly, the food was a real letdown. We ordered our steaks medium, only to receive them completely overcooked—dry and totally lacking the pink center you’d expect. At a steakhouse, this is a fundamental failure, especially at over $50 each. With three very disgruntled steak lovers, but with a wait that was well over 45 minutes, we were not about to wait another 45 minutes for a re-do. To make matters worse, the pricing felt opportunistic. We weren’t given menus with prices, and instead were told to refer to a chalkboard where prices had been written in—clearly jacked up to take advantage of families celebrating graduation. We don’t mind spending nearly $500 on a truly exceptional meal, but when the food and service don’t even compare to what you'd get at Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steakhouse, it leaves a bad taste—literally and figuratively. We came in ready to celebrate and treat our family to something special, but walked away deeply disappointed. While the waiter was very friendly, overall service was slow and not attentive to the table. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or recommending Nashville Chophouse to others.

Good food, OUTRAGEOUS prices. My wife and myself.......two cheeseburgers with one side, ice tea, one beer. $88! We'll go on by this place next time.

The huge pork chop looks very appealing, but looks are deceiving. We were not asked how we wanted it cooked so it was very RARE & we had to send it back. We also got the 20oz. Ribeye, again, we ordered it medium and it came extremely rare (purple). We showed the waiter & he took it back and was back so fast, it was still rare! Send it back for the second time, and it was finally cooked right and was good. $8 side salad with “ranch dressing” the ranch was incredibly sweet. I wish I had tasted it before I pored all over my salad. Brussel sprouts were undercooked and again swimming a very sweet glaze. Sautéed mushrooms $8 had NO Flavor. We were offered dessert to make us happy! Chocolate cake was HORRIBLE!
Atmosphere!!! I read other reviews so I wasn’t expecting much, but it was much worse than others described. $55 for a steak ale cart & you think it is would be a little nicer. Tables looked like there were from a closed old cheap diner and the table next to us had napkins under the leg to keep it level. The floor had so many soft spots, even worse in the bathroom, I was afraid I might fall through. The carpeted floors looked disgusting I’m sure they haven’t been really cleaned, EVER!
When we walked in, we were told we needed reservations, but we were promptly seated with plenty of empty tables.

The food is very expensive for what you get. I ordered a cheeseburger, medium rare. $18 for the burger, and sides are separate. The burger came out cold and raw. They made another that was still completely raw on the inside. For the price you pay, the food should be excellent, and the menu should not be a la cart. We will not be going here again.

We made reservations for 4 pm today. There are parking spots marked for the restaurant and the numbered spots for hotel guests. You enter through the hotel, and the stairs to the restaurant are right in front. The waiter was great. I ordered scallops, asparagus, and a lemon drop martini. Scallops had great texture ,were pretty big, but flavor was just ok. Asparagus was the best I've ever had. Martini was amazing. The ribeye was delicious and cooked perfectly. Brussel sprouts were pretty good. Spicy bloody mary was good. The shrimp/steak linguini was good but I should have asked for med rare steak. I think the sauce was to dry with a bit much of grated cheese. Shrimp was delicious. The place was clean.

Great little place to hang out for dinner and after hours. Husband and wife own it and they are very nice. They do have a late night menu as well.

cleanliness ** Price * The service is great I don’t have 1 complaint there. In fact the service was so good even with the issues I am about to talk about I still tipped our waiter $35. First the water pitcher was filthy. Second the chop house salad, the ranch is like water and has no taste. Literally butter water. 3rd the price, steak $58 no sides included (this is not that level of a restaurant) side of mashed potatoes $7 for that little bitty bowl. $18 for vodka pasta+$8 to add chicken into the pasta. $30 for 5 shrimp (which was great). Last the table we was at had a wobble and I noticed a couple peoples who wobbled a bit worse than ours. Overall it’s got to be 2 stars. Total bill came to $140 before tip and my wife I feel like it was not no where near worth that.
