Over the weekend I placed an order for a half sheet cake for my daughter’s baptism at the Highlands Pie Kitchen. When I picked it up I was absolutely SHOCKED at how bad the quality was. The writing was in print, and there were no decorative roses at all. I immediately called the Pie Kitchen in Fern Creek & asked if their baker had better penmanship and could fix the cake and they were working on my cake within 10 minutes. Their amazing baker Lance spent 45 minutes of his time redoing the cake and made it beautiful!!! I cannot thank the workers and Lance at the Fern Creek location enough for saving the day!

This was the highlight of our night because dinner was such a disappointment but this made everything better everything is homemade and it was so delicious I recommend the chocolate pie definitely brought back some memories and then I did purchase a couple of other cakes and I have not tried those yet but overall I would definitely go back there and I highly recommend it I wanted to spend so much more money up in there then what I did

Honestly, the service was really terrible, one of the workers was slamming things and talking about my wife with a poor attitude because she asked if the plates were microwave safe. Such a small thing for such large attitude. They also don't know what kind of frosting they use on their cake. When asked "I don't know, you'll just have to buy it" was the answer.

3 girls at the counter and somehow they can't get the right piece of cake cut. We were literally the only customers there, it's my birthday. I asked for a piece of strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, pointing to said cake. Girl turns around, cuts from another cake on the counter, ok, maybe they already have one out? She carries them to the counter to ring up/bag. We pay and leave. Now sitting at home, go to get said cake, only to find I have yellow cake with whip cream icing. Ladies, you have one job. Thanks for ruining my slice of birthday cake... Sure glad we over paid for something I didn't even want. And you even rang it up as what I asked for...

My husband ordered a Kentucky Bourbon milkshake. I ordered the strawberry rhubarb pie. Both choices were excellent and we will definitely be back!

It needs a restoration for something more modern and some arcade machines for kids. I'm not sure if they sell coffee, chocolate and water but those are other attractive items to serve and also sugar free cake.

Walked in with my kids and it took me to say hello to the 4 staff members who were too "busy" to help us, to be acknowledged and served. There was not a single customer in site. This has happened a few times and this will be my last coming here. On top of the fact the guy that rang us up wiped his nose with his gloved hands 3 times and did not change them once! Oh then a customer walked in after us and was helped immediately. Welp another person was acknowledged as I write this. Starting to wonder if my appearance is why.I don't expect Michelin star service, but to sit and stare at us for a minute or two is wild.

Would NOT get my birthday cakes from any other place!! We have used HMPK for years now, and outside of a bad pastry chef for a couple of years who did not know what she was doing, they never disappoint!
I got 2 pies (lemon meringue & Reese's) yesterday at the Fern Creek location, and they were both yummmmyyyy!
The Boston cream cake is an addiction I did not need ? everything is so fresh..service is fast and friendly, always our go to sweet tooth fix. All the flavors of ice cream are delicious as well.

The cake didnt taste right or the same..and my friends was burnt as he didnt eat his. 2nd time weve gotten strawberry cake that was over cooked.
