Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen

I deliver doordash orders, went in to pick an order up and I seen one of my favorite treats....Buckeyes! I asked the girl (who was super sweet) how much they were figuring I probably wouldn't be able to buy individual ones. She told me the price per buckeye and I bought 3, one each for my husband, little brother-in-law and myself....I should have bought 6 lol They were delicious! I will be back to buy more...Maybe a couple dozen for Thanksgiving and Christmas

Food may be good and the guy serving was was great, but the girl at the register you could tell she did not want to be there and didn't care not make you feel anyway happy about being there my first time. I will not be coming back to support a chain with employees that hate their job

We love the treats here! Since the great city of New Albany has graced us once again with a bridge to access this place, we visited much more frequently. Good ice cream selection.. make it a malt or shake for an extra yummy treat (including whipped cream and a cherry on top!) Very good pies, and the ice cream is RIGHT there, so yes. I will have a scoop with my pie. Fantastic cakes and frosted cupcakes, too. The dining area is a cozy spot on a chilly evening. The service is never less than pleasant.

My husband and I stopped in yesterday. I was not greeted but ignored by several employees. Finally a girl came over was very rude and hostile . I explained what I wanted as my wheelchair bound husband was in the car . Apparently you have changed how you
word things . As an elderly person I explained one scoop for my husband as all other places use that term . She was extremely rude demanding I point out what cup
size I wanted I again said one scoop she became more hostile because I said scoop when I went to play and told the cashier I guess she’s mad cause I said scoop I didn’t realize it had changed She came over interrupting our conversation and started telling me how to run my card like she was in charge . Very rude and disrespectful to an elderly person . We love the ice cream but won’t.be back

I have order three birthday cakes and I have stopped in for ice cream, pies, and sliced cake and it's my number one place to splurge.

I used to go here growing up and loved (and still love) the oreo cheesecake. The upside cupcakes were and still are amazing. And I just discovered yall have cinnamon ice cream which is my favorite.
The people are very nice. And the store is very adorable in and out.
I think I spent about $20 and got 4 things. So the prices are good.

I’ve heard great things about this place from all over, so I was definitely excited to go and try it. On a whim we decided to try it out. Immediately walking in the door, all three employees just stared at us and didn’t say a word. I made the attempt to say “hi there,” because it was awkward and uncomfortable. No one responded, they just continued staring. No customers were present but us.

Customer service can really hurt a business and normally I could care less, but the demeanor and attitudes of the employees were gross and I would be embarrassed of those were my employees/representing my business. I get everyone has bad days, but if you’re going to roll your eyes at customers, then you need to choose a job better suited for your attitude. Definitely will not be revisiting.

I discovered Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen when I arrived really early to my first Periodontist appointment. I looked on google for a place to get a snack and there it was - 1 minute away!
I had pie and ice cream. To. Die. For.
Now it’s a must stop every time I’m at my periodontist. The frosted cutout sugar cookies are adorable and yummy. The upside down cupcakes are sooo good!
Every bite of pie I’ve had is delicious. Light and flaky crust with just the right amount of filling.
But I’m writing this review because of their ice cream pies. I bought two for my husband’s birthday celebration - Grasshopper and Turtle. They were devoured. Everyone wanted to know where I got them. Perfect balance of ice cream, crunchy crust, fillings, and toppings.
I’ll be coming back even if I’m not going to the periodontist. 😁🥰

I had the creme brulee icecream and chess pie. I had to double back it was soooo good! Customer service was great!

Brittany at Fern Creek store was amazing. She was very helpful and professional and got us together for last minute treats for our son’s birthday!

Mixed berry pie tasted old. Obnoxious music being played. Staff not friendly.

Over the weekend I placed an order for a half sheet cake for my daughter’s baptism at the Highlands Pie Kitchen. When I picked it up I was absolutely SHOCKED at how bad the quality was. The writing was in print, and there were no decorative roses at all. I immediately called the Pie Kitchen in Fern Creek & asked if their baker had better penmanship and could fix the cake and they were working on my cake within 10 minutes. Their amazing baker Lance spent 45 minutes of his time redoing the cake and made it beautiful!!! I cannot thank the workers and Lance at the Fern Creek location enough for saving the day!
