For my birthday we celebrated with a delicious chocolate Reese peanut butter cake.The cashiers at the Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen were polite.The place was filled with joyful people with pleasant smiles.

Walked in with my kids and it took me to say hello to the 4 staff members who were too "busy" to help us, to be acknowledged and served. There was not a single customer in site. This has happened a few times and this will be my last coming here. On top of the fact the guy that rang us up wiped his nose with his gloved hands 3 times and did not change them once! Oh then a customer walked in after us and was helped immediately. Welp another person was acknowledged as I write this. Starting to wonder if my appearance is why.I don't expect Michelin star service, but to sit and stare at us for a minute or two is wild.

Would NOT get my birthday cakes from any other place!! We have used HMPK for years now, and outside of a bad pastry chef for a couple of years who did not know what she was doing, they never disappoint!

My son and I stopped by this location yesterday, and picked up several things. I ordered a piece of chocolate cream pie that was pretty good. He got ice cream, birthday cake and mocha, which he loved. We also brought a piece of lemon meringue pie home to my mom. It's her favorite and she devoured it! Now, the star of the show was a slice of cake that I got for 50% off...chocolate with white frosting. I have never had cake that was...I'm going to say it...as moist as this slice of cake was! Go and treat yourself!

The Boston cream cake is an addiction I did not need ? everything is so fresh..service is fast and friendly, always our go to sweet tooth fix. All the flavors of ice cream are delicious as well.

The cake didnt taste right or the same..and my friends was burnt as he didnt eat his. 2nd time weve gotten strawberry cake that was over cooked.

I spent $95.00 at the ice cream and pie kitchen for thanksgiving. Gave the cashier a $100. Bill and was told sheCouldn’t take it. This is redundant. So you tell me you don’t have $5. In the register. Moving forward I will not be ordering anymore pies for the Holidays.

The men in my family prefer pies for dessert so I picked up (3) different ones to celebrate their fall birthdays. The store was a bit dim and dirty inside. Service was indifferent; not friendly, but not rude either. The lemon meringue contained far too much sugar and was simply terrible!! Pastry base was flavorless and too dry. The curd was pale, overly sweet and not tangy. Meringue was heavy vs. light and airy, and sickeningly sweet; it even had extra yellow colored sugar granules sprinkled on top. The fruit pies (blueberry and apple) were, again, sugar bombs with a bland pastry crust, but at least the ratio of fruit filling was fair. Each pie was $30 which I think was rather expensive for the quality.
Amazing little place. Their pies are excellent. Their cakes are excellent. Their ice cream is top notch (especially the grape). Recently a friend purchased chocolate pie and brought it to our house for dessert. It was beautiful. In every way! Yum!

Bought a birthday cake for this weekend and paid the $48.00 dollars for this supposedly delicious cake. And it was revolting, no one enjoyed the cake. Absolute rubbish waste of money spent on. I will never buy cakes from this place again.

Ordered a cake for grandaughter's birthday on 5/20/23...did not take the cake out of the box until it was time for the party...the cake was very unlevel andnot even square...paid $57for it and it looks like a kindergartner baked it...reached out vía email and have never heard back...last october I ordered one and had to wait for misspelled words to be corrected...poor service...wont be back

Since my original review from 04MAR23 was removed, the rating has been dropped by 1 Star and I will not return to this location.On 04MAR23, I ordered a banana split, a slice of carrot cake and a slice of rhubarb pie. The customer service was good, and the banana split was very good. The carrot cake was overly sweet for my tastes, but was good nonetheless.The rhubarb pie, as best as I can describe it, tasted of chemicals and mildew. It was like inhaling in freshly cleaned public restroom with an added hint of sweet and tart. I could not make it past one bite and threw it away.
