Typically never have issues with Yamato, I love to eat here. I ordered carry out and got a filet hibachi dinner- asked for medium rare and the filet is basically well done. Who would want a well done filet mignon? Never had this happen before so I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I almost don’t even want to eat it, I’m going to because I’m starving and don’t want to drive 20 minutes back to New Albany.

Otherwise everything else was fine, but I’m not very happy about my overcooked steak.

Across the board excellent! Our server was personable and pleasant. The food was absolutely one of the best Japanese food I’ve had!

We ordered the Crazy Girl sushi, the Vegetable Soba, and the Steak Bento Dinner Box. We couldn’t get enough!

Kadriannah made our dining experience SUCH a positive one! My aunt, uncle, and I are from out of town and just stopped in on a whim. We talked to several people out in the parking lot before going in, and all 3 agreed that this is a great place to eat, and they were right! The service is fast, the portion sizes are huge, the food is delicious, and the prices are right. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Kadriannah, chef, and staff! Big thumbs up for you!

My hibachi chicken lunch was amazing. The teriyaki sauce and yum yum sauce is the best I have ever had...ever. The servers and hostess were very kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back for more yummy food.

The Hibachi rice is good, But they have the worst customer service in the world. There was a long brown straight hair in my friend’s food that we got picked up right before a flash flood today, and we’re black with curly hair, and they are refusing to refund the money and we just got hung up on for asking for a manager or for them to write our names down so we can get a refund if we are able to make it another day. Mind you, my friend lives in louisville and won’t be back over here. and THERE IS A FLOOD OUTSIDE, WHO IS DRIVING IN THIS WEATHER FOR A MISTAKE SOMEONE ELSE MADE. 0/10 NEVER COME HERE!!!! They are disgusting and the young dude at the counter is the rudest worker i’ve ever met counting fast food employees.

Some of the rudest customer service I have ever been around.... They will literally keep you waiting 20 plus minutes for a simple order and then when you walk up to the counter to ask them about it they will act like you don't exist and ignore you and if you keep on trying to ask they will snap at you and tell you they are still working on your order... I'm usually a pretty calm person and I tend to be nice to everybody but I do not appreciate this kind of service and I will not be back.

I went to this restaurant last night,the sushi was incredible fresh, and the tempura was perfectly crispy! The stuff was super friendly and with this cozy decor, I can’t wait to come back!

I was with a group of 18 people, and I celebrated my birthday there. The staff even brought out a light-up sign and sang a birthday song for me — it was truly unforgettable. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.
