When we had an event after a tragedy in our family, smoke on the water donated plenty of food for everyone out of the kindness of their hearts. The service is always great. I support as often as I can. This is a small business. They really started from the bottom and have come a long way. I’m happy to see it.”

Then I see several of the staff go to the man and tell him they missed him, asked how he was, and were genuinely happy to see him. His smile when they walked away made my heart melt. “This was our first time here, and we got there unbeknownst 2 mins before closing. But Darnell welcomed us with open arms anyway. He was our server, host, cashier, busser and bartender. Let me start off by saying that he is such an awesome person with the best attitude and great recommendations. He made a delicious margarita ( the best I've ever had-margaritas are my favorite drink and I'm a former bartender/server for years) and the food was also on point. It came really hot, fresh and quick. We ate everything on our entire plate! The establishment was very clean and welcoming. The people next to us were first timers, too and they were also impressed and complimenting. We all left happy and full. We will be coming back and bringing more people to see him. “I won a gift card from Indiana 105.5 a while back, so we were having a family birthday party for my daughter last night. I ordered the very extra large t’s meats and the stuffed crust pepperoni. I highly recommend! It all was delicious! I only wish you were closer, we all would definitely use you more, we live in Wanatah. But I definitely will be back”

“We are on vacation at Indiana Dunes and stopped in at Dog Days today after lunch for a treat. Great place, and AMAZING staff! Our kids, ages 5 and 2, changed their minds on what they wanted a couple of times and the two young ladies working were so patient with us as they took our orders. Very clean and a great atmosphere - My kids loved watching the little train overhead. And of course, the ice cream was delicious! Also, they have a family restroom with a changing table, which may not be high on most people’s list but that can be so hard to find in these little specialty shops and as a family with two littles, having those facilities easily available is just a very nice bonus. Highly recommend :)”

“Joe’s bread is a DELICIOUS addition to my beloved hometown. The restaurant is beautiful with a relaxed atmosphere. Every item I’ve had has been wonderful. The ham and cheese croissant is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend!”

It felt like the old breakfast diners in the 1970's and 80's. If you want to get away from the aggressions of today's society stop in at Peggy Sues diner.”
