Drive up old style time diner. Its fun for that old feel. Food is good, service is quick, menu is pretty good considering the size of the building. No bathrooms. Faster than fast food.
The sign said they were open until 8:30. Pulled in between 8-8:15. The open sign was shut off already. We asked if they were open like the sign out front stated. The waitress was rude and made it known that she didn't want to take our order. All we needed was a drink and 2 grilled cheese. They had our food done in plenty of time for them to go home at 8:30. There was no need for her to be rude from the get go.
When I moved to Peru over 10 yrs ago my son, daughter and myself would always laugh and yell "It's Mr Weenie Time!!!" every time we drove past ?. Cute little drive in and you can eat in your vehicle or at the picnic tables. The prices are really reasonable and the food is really tasty. The coney dogs , coleslaw, Wrigley dogs, shrimp baskets, and tenderloins just to name a few are really good. The service is always good and fast. I've bought Mr Weenie t-shirts...
