McDonald's in Portage

“I find it wild that im doing a review for a McDonalds, but here we are. I have eaten at tons of McD's in Ontario, and never thought twice about the experience, but our visit to this location in Portage was exceptional. We were driving back home from Chicago to Ontario, and stopped in here to stretch our legs and get some food. Food was good, consistent with all McD's, and filled our bellies. The service however was exceptional. Not once, but twice, we had staff come up to us to ask how was our meal, and offer refills for our drinks. They approached us with a smile and kindness, which is awesome, truly above and beyond expectations. So kudos to the front of house staff who were working around 11am on Monday October 28th, please pass on our thanks and congratulations on making a simple stop for weary travelers, into something exceptional.“

“Staff provides exceptional service and is friendly with a smile greeting. Service is quick and organized. The coffee is always freshly brewed, hot, and tastes great like a Columbian cup of coffee unlike any other McDonald's. The facility is always clean from the ordering station and dining area to the bathroom.“

“Well, it’s McD’s! The bad part was I ordered a burger with only cheese, waited 5+ mins off to the side only to be handed a bag with everything but my cheeseburger. Drove home, called and they offered a refund or to come back. I returned cause I was hungry and waited another 5 mins. They did give me an extra fry and soda for the inconvenience. That was nice.“
