“We had the best time visiting the cafe! The staff could not be any kinder. There are so many cute shirts and other merch items available for purchase. The kitties are all so precious, and you can tell that they are very well loved and taken care of as they wait for their furever homes. Applications for the cats are very thorough, and they make sure that the adoptive parents are the purrfect matches. “We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!“

“I rate on a planetwide scale, and don't give out 5 stars lightly. Maybe it's really a 4.5, but for northern Indiana it's about 7 stars. This place is just delightful. Yummy and creative sandwiches, salads, and breakfast things with amusing descriptions. I had the grilled cheese with saurkraut and bourbon-carmelized onions. Small but good selection of pastries. About 20 varieties of loose leaf teas. They do their own chai and miraculously it's not oversweetened. Could use more cardamom, but that's a personal preference. Friendly, cheerful, funny staff. I was there around dinnertime on a cold February Wednesday and of the dozen tables only three were occupied. Plus a couch on which a couple of geeky teenagers were talking and flirting quietly. Several power outlets. Decor that day was a mixture of Valentine's cards (maybe seasonal), plus various bits of local art, and some geek culture figures (The Ticket, Rorschach from The Watchmen). Backs of chairs have random bits of macrame weaved through them. There's a delicate and happy-making mural of birds and a tree in the bathroom. Free wi-fi with password.

“Cafe Fresco is the best coffee shop in Crown Point. Employees are great and always smiling while making your delicious beverage. The owner, Breanne is one of the most genuine and amazing people I know and you should try out Cafe Fresco.“

“What an awesome place, every shake sounds like it would be delicious I can't wait to try them all. Their location is kind of obscure but very convenient it is right off of 173rd just west of Calumet. Directly across the street from Terry's aquarium and Walgreens. All of their shakes have natural ingredients and natural sweeteners and they use Herbalife protein powders and vitamin supplements.

The drinks were very well made and Jordan asked if we would like the banana bread we bought warmed up. Such nice personal touches in the coffee shop. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. “The staff is nice and friendly. The food is VERY good!!! I was a student at IUN many years ago and the food in the cafe did not taste as good as it does now. Maybe they have a different management/owner. It is pricey but food costs have gone up and they are paying to rent the facility and pay their employees so it is to be expected. It is a very convenient asset on the campus. I will definitely frequent this establishment.
