The Most Authentic Mexican restaurant available for Northern Indiana! So great in fact that they recently opened a secondary restaurant!
Their Margaritas are uncompromising/uncomparable!

There are atleast 3 locations I know of. Food has always been good at all 3 locations. Ate at the newest one in St. John. Very quiet. Only open about a month or two. The location in Schererville always seems like a party going on.
Plenty of Mexican restaurants in the area, this one is one of the better ones. Good stuff. I had lunch and it was tasty.

La Carreta Mexican restaurant is the most authentic Mexican restaurant available for Northern Indiana. It is so great that a secondary restaurant recently opened. There are at least 3 locations. Food has always been good at all 3 locations. The newest one in St. John is very quiet and only open about a month or two. The location in Schererville always seems like a party going on. The steak tacos and margaritas are favorites. The General Manager is awesome, super energetic and passionate about the business. Staff treat you as family. The whole Beaver Roofing team loves this place. The crew, experience, ambiance, and the steak tacos are all next level. It is a 5-star dining experience that doesnβt break the bank. On Wednesdays, Lidia does a phenomenal job, so sweet and bubbly. The margaritas are awesome. The staff was working their butts off, every table was full, and food was great.
