H&R Bakery is Salem's historic gem. It's been around longer than I've been alive. Their recipes are their secret, and word has clearly gotten around. So many people from our community work out-of-county, and so many of their fellow employees have been blessed to be treated with a box of walnut brownies, apple fritters and donuts. If you have never tried the addictive sweets of this place, you owe it to yourself to do so. As an attorney, I've hosted lots of people from out of town, and those who try it, always bring it up again in conversation. Life is short. Indulge at least once. You will be glad you did.

There donuts are just not that good in my opinion it's like they a skimping on quality ingredients to save a buck and by doing so I won't recommend them, I hope someone buys the place and turns that around.
