Raquel's Restaurant and JK's Food Truck

Just got done have dinner for Valentine’s and the service was wonderful. The staff works so well as a team and we’re all happy to help with anything that we needed. The restaurant ran very efficiently and calmly (which is something you don’t see in the restaurant industry often). The food was wonderful and the pricing was an amazing deal for Valentines. We live about 40 mins away and wanted to try out a new place this year and I think it’s safe to say we will be returning!

Me and my husband stopped by a couple weeks ago with a huge party of 10+ and they were very accommodating and kind! We had such a wonderful experience that we decided to come back out for date night & again the service was amazing & food was terrific! Very impressed with the consistency & great environment! 😊🫶

I had such a wonderful experience here. The staff was so welcoming even though we arrived close to closing. The food was wonderful. Everything is made from scratch down to the dressings. Locally sourced ingredients. So worth the visit.

if you are in or near Salem, IN looking for some authentic, homemade from scratch recipes then this is a must stop. Located in the square there is plenty of seating family and kid friendly. The ambiance is very welcoming and the owner and staff are very friendly. There is something here for everyone and the portion sizes are excellent. I had the grilled chicken salad and the roasted Brussel sprouts. Delicious! Highly recommended.

I was in from out of town and ordered a to go order and cake after and mentioned it was my birthday. The fried chicken was by far the best fried chicken I have had in years it was tender, juicy and delicious. The fried green tomatoes with the homemade ranch was outstanding . The lemonade cake was delicious. The amount of food for the price was amazing. The service was fantastic. So I tipped on the order to the go and the server said said oh don’t worry about it it I didn’t do anything, but what speak volumes about this woman is she didn’t say a word. I got back to my hotel and she sent a note and said happy birthday and gave me 5 dollars back said the cakes on me. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but I thought she was truly amazing. So I am sure the service there is amazing in house. If I am ever in town I definitely would visit and I highly recommend.

Great food! I absolutely love their fried chicken breast. It stays moist and tender. The wait staff is attentive and quick. Don't skip dessert. The cheesecake is wonderful!
