The food wasn't bad but not as good as the one in Homewood. They were skimpy on the beef on my Italian beef sandwiches. I ordered a lemon cake too and the frosting wasn't as much as they usually have you could see the cake through the frosting. But the cake was good.

Food is great. If they don’t mess it up or completely miss giving you items. That is what they’re consistent on.. consistently missing items completely or not making items correctly. They do a great job making it, it tastes great. Just wish they had a better system to make sure things were made correctly or not missed. You literally have to check every single item before leaving to make sure it’s there or not made incorrectly. Every. Single. Time. Beyond frustrating.

I do not know what Portillos is doing to their business other than trying to loose customers. Maybe they have to many. But the service is more important than the food. I have noticed that once the service goes down, food quality quickly follows. For some reason you cannot add pictures, but my French fries looked like they had been collected from the floor, Floor Fries.

My first time at a Portillos. Service was friendly. Food was great. If I had realized how big the bacon double cheeseburger was I would have ordered the single. The cake shake was awesome, thankfully I ordered the small. Atmosphere was fun, it was a little too cold to enjoy the patio seating.

As a 1st time customer I couldn't understand why they were so busy the food was lukewarm borderline cold and none of what I ordered was flavorful which was a fish sandwich that was more bread then fish so I ate it without the bottom bun which was dry anymore and a regular sized Italian beef sandwich which i mistook for a hot dog before I opened it. Because of how small it was and they charged .99cent for hot giardiniera peppers but only gave me about .05 cent worth. the cake shake tasted the best out of everything I bought but not because it was flavorful or because they used gourmet ice cream or cake it was just because it was sweet. It safe to say that I will never go back Portillo's their prices were way to high for sub-par food.
