Grandma's Pancake House

Been going to grandmas on sundays for a few years. The wait staff here is always exceptional. The food is okay ish. Cold bacon that sat around, at least freshly cooked eggs, and some of the other offering are a bit hit and miss. This place gets busy after 8am and while the staff work super hard during this time, they can be a bit understaffed until about 9ish.

Shelbyville may have other better offerings for breakfast joints but we keep coming back.

Very disappointed. Greek omelet looked strange and had little flavor. Hashbrowns were not hot. Grits watery with huge lumps. Server was only good part...other than toast and jelly.

Couldn't enjoy our food because it was so COLD in the restaurant. The food was very good, service great.

I've only been here twice. The food has been good but both times I've had to ask for food that was supposed to go with my meal. You don't have the same server. You get several people checking on you which is nice but there's a lack of communication. We kept being given the wrong drinks. Our second visit, we had ants crawling on the table and on myself.

Went to Gradmas yesterday morning. It was busy with a wait time. I was dining alone. There were 4 groups of two or three ahead of me. After arriving, four groups of two are three arrived behind me. Staff was working hard to get orders, deliver orders and clean recently vacated tables. After those ahead of me were seated, taking about 15 minutes, three more groups of two or more arrived. Two groups arriving after me were seated. I understood seating customers to optimize seating space. Then another couple were seated. The hostess said I was next. Didn't happen. She seated three more groups who arrived after me. I had waited at least 30 minutes. I left. Grammas had been my husband's favorite breakfast venue. I go about every month or two. I was sad to see that my dining alone seemed to be a problem.

They over cooked my food when I told them no to from the started.. tasted like crap, waste of money thanks.

First time here. Service was great. Coffee cup was kept full. So many choices on the menu it was hard to decide what to get. Pancakes were delicious and eggs were cooked to perfection. Very comfortable down home atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here!
